HG 1/144 Build Strike Gundam Full Package

This is the High Grade 1/144 Build Strike Gundam Full Package. This kit comes to us from the Gundam Build Fighters series, and is the custom Gunpla built by Sei Iori. It was built using the Strike Gundam as the base of the build, and was later outfitted with a special shield and transforming Build Booster. Because of the high mobility of the mobile suit, most players could not operate the Gunpla. Only Sei Iori and Reiji can operate it properly.

The Strike Gundam has been favorite of mine for a while because of it’s good balance of offense and defense, so the Build Strike Gundam won me over pretty much right away. The kit itself is very solid, and has a fantastic range of articulation, letting you easily replicate even the most dynamic action poses. You actually get three different beam guns with this kit, letting you display it in each of it’s build stages from the anime. The Build Booster on the back can also be detached and transformed into a support unit.
This is one of those kits that’s honest difficult to critique. It’s just that solid. The biggest issue it has is the number of color correcting stickers and spots that need paint. Some of the color correcting stickers work, like the white ones for the shield, but other than that, you may want to go with paint in place of a lot of the color correcting stickers.
Overall, as a fan of Gundam Build Fighters, I love this kit! It’s simple, but very cool looking and very good for striking action poses. Definitely worth picking up if you come across it. 😄
