HG 1/144 Bolinoak-Sammahn

This is the High Grade 1/144 Bolinoak-Sammahn. :) Those mobile suit comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam Z, and is piloted by Sarah Zabiarov. The third mobile suit built by Paptimus Scirocco aboard the Jupitris, the Bolinoak Sammahn was a mobile suit designed as a seek-and-destroy unit. It was equipped with advanced surveillance technology built into its head and forearms, but because of this, it had limited armaments.

I had honestly never seen this mobile suit until this kit was announced by Bandai, but right away I thought it was really cool. And since I love cool looking mobile suits, I had to have it. :D Needless to say, I wasn’t disappointed with this one. One thing that I really like about this kit is that it actually comes with two different heads; one to have the surveillance unit activated and one to have it deactivated. The color separation and articulation on this one are also really good.

As far as problems go, this one really doesn’t have a lot. It’s mostly pretty solid. I’ve really only found two issues with it. First, the backpack makes this kit a bit heavy for a High Grade kit, so you’ll need a display stand with a locking mechanism to display this one. The other issue is that due to how bulky the torso is, and the way the head is shaped, the side to side movement of the head is a bit limited.

All in all, I really like this one! The color separation is fantastic, and it’s a very unique mobile suit. Whether you’re a fan of Mobile Suit Gundam Z, or you’re just looking for something that’s sure to be an eye catcher, this is definitely a worthwhile kit to have. :)
