HG 1/144 Blazing Gundam

Two Gunpla posts in one day?! Yeah, I’m trying to photograph through my backlog of kits waiting for me to post pictures of them, so I thought why not? Anyway, this is the High Grade 1/144 Blazing Gundam. 🙂 This kit if from the Gundam Breaker Battlelogue line, and it’s design won me over before it even came out. When I first saw that this mobile suit incorporates elements from both the Shining AND God Gundam, two of my all time favorite mobile suits, I was instantly sold on it!

This was both an interesting and fun kit to work on. It comes with two different choices for the head, between the regular form and the blazing form, but unfortunately, doesn’t come with the parts to make both. So if you want both, you either have to buy two of this kit, or disassemble the head whenever you want to switch them out. It has the same good range of articulation as the High Grade 1/144 God Gundam, making it perfect for striking those awesome battle poses. That said, my biggest issue with this kit is annoying loose the beam tonfas peg onto the backpack. I honestly recommend taking them off and waiting to put them on the backpack until after you have the kit in whatever pose you want. All in all, though, I really do like this kit, and I highly recommend it for builders of all skill levels. 🙂
