Disney Parks Rogue One Astromech Droid Figure Set

I finally cracked these guys open. 🙂 That, I finally took them out of the box XD. This is the Rogue One astromech droid figure set that (as far as I know) was exclusive to Disney parks. This set was given to me by my sister for Christmas last year, and I really like them. 🙂 In this set, you get four droids: C2-B5, R2-BHD, R3-M2, and R5-SK1. The paintwork on these is really nice, and I’m especially impressed by the fine details that they made sure to paint. Disney definitely doesn’t slack off when it comes to the droid figures they sell in their theme parks, that’s for sure. You’ll notice that none of these ones have the cables on their feet, and that’s because Disney stopped adding those to their Droid Factory figure parts several years ago. While I still don’t know the definite reason for removing that detail, it may have been to make it so that guests visiting the parks could build their droid figures more easily my not needing to worry about not being able to find the leg pieces they need to complete their droid.

If I had to pick a favorite out of these four figures, my hands down choice would be C2-B5. The paintwork on the figure is just beautiful, and very clean (meaning the paint isn’t offsided on any parts, or that none of the paint is anywhere that it shouldn’t be), and I just think they did a really great job with him. 🙂 R2-BHD isn’t far behind, though. I love the grey and silver paintjob on his, and also how nice and metallic the silver parts look.
