Blokees Classic Class TF One Megatron

This is the Blokees Classic Class Transformers One Megatron model kit. Like all kits in Blokees Transforms line, this kit requires no paint, tools, or glue to assemble. This kit has 71 pieces, and features light-up eyes, and a light-up T-Cog chamber. The light unit uses one 3V CR927 button cell battery. Unfortunately, this is one of those annoying Blokees kits where you have to take apart the torso section to change the battery in the light unit.

Transformers One showed the gradual transformation of a cogless energon miner named D-16 into the fearsome leader of the Decepticons, Megatron. This design is somewhat reminiscent to the G1 version of Megatron, with not a lot of flashy bells and whistles. This kit doesn’t really come with a lot of accessories, but one thing I really like that they got right was that triple-barreled fusion cannon of his. The articulation on this kit is mostly what I’ve come to expect from the Blokees Classic Class kits, with the exception of less side to side rotation at the head, and a better bend at the knees.

For the most part, this is a pretty solid kit. I really only have two real issues with it, and that’s how limited the range of motion in the head. This mainly due to how short the neck is. My other issue with this kit is much more minor, and that’s that he has his Decepticon emblem. The reason I don’t lil this is because he doesn’t get that until the post credits scene of the movie.

All in all, this is a very fun kit to build, and perfect for beginners and pros alike. 🙂 The build is very easy, and should only take between 30-45 minutes. Aside from the issue with the head, this is a pretty solid kit. I’m not as crazy about it as the Optimus Prime from this line, but I do this think it’s worth picking up, especially to pair with Optimus.
