Blokees Classic Class ROTB Mirage model kit

This is the Blokees Classic Class Transformers Rise of the Beasts Mirage model kit. Like all kits in the Blokees Transforms line, this kit requires no paint, tools, or glue to assemble. This kit has 66 pieces, and features light-up eyes and a light-up chest. The light unit in this one uses one 3V CR927 button cell battery, and the battery compartment is easy to get to. Simply separate the upper body from the lower body, and the battery compartment is right under the lower body.

What can I say? He’s Mirage! Seriously though, I love this version of Mirage, and the model was a lot of fun to put together. The color separation isn’t perfect, but it’s still pretty good. There’s also a lot of really nice mechanical detail on this kit that lets you easily make out different Porsche parts that are visible in his robot mode. He comes with three different sets of hands (one closed set, one open set, and one pointing set), as well as an arm cannon, allowing him to strike a lot of those cool and carefree poses he’s known for. The articulation is the same as most Blokees Classic Class kits, but honestly, it works for him.

I honestly had trouble finding things to nitpick on about this kit. Both because I like it so much, and because it’s so solid. I really only have two small issues with it. First, for whatever reason, the set of pointing hands he has is actually half the size of his other hand sets, which is kind of odd to me. My other issue is that because they didn’t cover up the area above his eyes, it sometimes looks like he has three eyes instead of two.

Overall, this was a very fun kit to put together, and I really like him. Whether this is your favorite version of Mirage, or you’re collecting all of the Blokees ROTB kits, this kit is definitely worth having. And for only $15? That’s a deal that would make even Mirage want to check his optics! 😄
