Blokees Classic Class ROTB Arcee

This is the Blokees Classic Class Transformers Rise of the Beasts Arcee model kit. Like all kits in the Blokees Transforms line, this kit requires no paint, tools, or glue to assemble. This kit has 59 pieces, and features light-up eyes. The light unit in this one uses one 3V CR927 button cell battery. Unfortunately, this is one of those ones where you do have to disassemble the torso to change the batteries in the light unit.

I had reservations about buying this kit because of the low piece count, but honestly, I’m glad I did, because she looks awesome! I’m loving the metallic red and pearlescent white on this kit, and unlike other Blokees kits I’ve gotten, she actually comes with a sort of action stand so you can display her in midair action poses. The articulation is mostly what you’d expect from a Blokees Classic Class kit, except for the articulation in the knees. You get a much better bend at the knee on this one than any other Blokees kit I’ve seen so far. One thing I found funny about this kit is that they switched out the Ducati logo on her leg and arm with her name in the same font. My guess is that Blokees was unable to get the okay from Ducati to use their logo.

While I think that the paintwork and detail on this kit is fantastic, I do have two issues with this kit. First, the feet have a very annoying tendency to pop off while you’re trying to pose the model. They pop back on easily, but this still gets annoying quite quick. My other issue is that her feet aren’t designed to fit on the pegs on the display base, which makes her very prone to tipping over if you don’t pose the feet just right. I suppose it isn’t a bit deal if you plan to display her with the included action stand, as that secures her to the base just fine.

All in all, I love how this kit looks. While the ROTB Arcee isn’t my favorite version of her, she definitely looks really cool, and the paint on this kit is spectacular! If this is your favorite version of Arcee, or you’re just looking to add to your collection, I definitely think that this kit is worth picking up.
