Blokees Classic Class DOTM Sentinel Prime

This is the Blokees Classic Class Transformers Dark of The Moon Sentinel Prime model kit. 🙂 Like all Blokees model kits, this kit requires no paint, tools, or glue to assemble. It has 90 pieces, and features light-up eyes. The light unit uses one 3V CR927 button cell battery, and unfortunately, this is one of those annoying Blokees kits where you have to take apart the torso section to change the battery in the light unit.

I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the reveal of this kit. With Blokees rolling out more Dark of The Moon kits as of late, it was only a matter of time until we got Sentinel Prime, and he looks great! One thing that surprised me about this kit is that they actually included his blaster that he takes out Iron Hide with. Hasbro doesn’t ever seem to include his blaster in the transforming figures of him, so I was pleasantly surprised to see them include it with this model kit. Even more surprising is that they included a blast effect piece for it as well. Along with his blaster, he includes his signature double bladed sword, his shield, two pairs of interchangeable hands, and a display stand to display the model on.

This is honestly a really solid kit, and I couldn’t really find anything wrong with the engineering of it. My only issue is honestly the color of the plastic they molded his face from. On the box, it looks like they used metallic silver, but actually went with a a metallic gunmetal color. And while it still looks nice and has a lot of nice detail sculpted into it, I think it would have looked better in silver.

All in all, this is a really nice looking Dark of The Moon Sentinel Prime, and I like that they included all of his gear from the movie. Something that Hasbro is yet to do. The glossy red gives this kit a very nice shine on display that’s sure to make him stand out among your other Blokees model kits. If you’re a fan of Dark of The Moon, or this particular version of Sentinel Prime, I definitely recommend this kit. 🙂
