Blokees Classic Class 2007 Megatron

This is the Blokees Classic Class 2007 Megatron model kit. Like all kits in Blokees Transforms line, this kit requires no paint, tools, or glue to assemble. This kit has 75 pieces, and features light-up eyes. The light unit uses one 3V CR927 button cell battery. Unfortunately, the way this particular one is designed, you do have to open the torso to get to the battery compartment, but it’s fairly easy.

I’ve always been a fan of this look for Megatron, ever since it debuted in the 2007 Michael Bay film. It hasn’t always been the most popular among the fandom, but I think it suits him. It’s just a very cool look for him, and for only being a $15 model kit, this kit is surprisingly detailed! There are a lot of really nice mechanical details molded into a lot of the plastic, and parts come pre-painted so you don’t need to use stickers or do any paintwork on it. He looks this good straight out of the box. 😄 Even more impressive is that there are no loose bits on this kit. He is rock solid.

The articulation is similar to most Classic Class Blokees kits, with the knees and elbows each getting a half bend, the hips, shoulders, hands, ankles, and head all on ball joints, and a full 360 degrees of rotation at the waist. So while the articulation in the elbows and knees isn’t the best, you can still get this guy into some really cool action poses. This kit also has a really cool feature where you can swap out the chest plate to have him look like the Allspark is in his chest (in case you want to display him dead or something XD).

All in all, I really like this kit! It’s one of my favorite versions of Megatron, and you can’t beat the $15 price tag. This is definitely a really fun collectible for any Transformers fan, and also a really good kit for beginners. 🙂
