Description
Sorry this is so late, folks. >.< Between being sick on and off (like usual), and other things going on, I just couldn't find the time to write a review for this model. I did get that done though, so here's the overdue review of the most recent addition to my collection.
This is the Bandai 1/144 scale Hi-Mock Battle System Simulator Mobile Suit model kit.
I won't lie, like most of my Gundam model kits, I bought this one because I liked it, and not so much because I knew the first think about it XD. But that's what the internet is for.
The Hi-Mock is from the series Gundam Build Fighters Try, and is an upgraded version of the Mock. Created by Yajima Trading, the Hi-Mock appears in the company's Gundam Battle System as a 3D computer graphic. The Hi-Mock is an AI controlled opponent for training battles. Players can customize it with different weapons and armor, as well as adjust the difficulty level of the AI to best suit their needs. So it's basically a CPU opponent used for training.
I actually really like this model.
Not only is it a fun build, but it has multiple spots where you can add and swap weapons and accessories. Which is pretty cool, because you can equip him with weapons and accessories from your other Gundam model kits. I like the range customization possibilities. You'll need at least one other Gundam model kit so you have some gear to use, since this model only comes with a single gun, and no other accessories. When looking at the sides of the box, you'll see pictures of it with all kinds of weapons and gear. Those are just pictures showing examples of ways you can customize it. All that stuff is sold separately.
In terms of poseability, you get a lot out of this guy. The head can't move up or down, but it does rotate. The upper body and abdomen each rotate. The arms rotate and swivel, and bend at the elbow. The elbow is basically a double joint, so the arms bend quite far. The legs can rotate, swivel, and move up and down. Like the elbows, the knees are on a double joint, so the legs bend pretty far back. The feet are on balljoints, so they rotate, swivel, and do just about anything you need them to do.
All in all, this is a very fun model.
It looks awesome, it's very posable, it's easy and fun to build, and it really doesn't have that many pieces. It's very good for beginners looking to start building and collecting Gundam models. Thanks for reading, folks, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer them, okay? 😊
