Bandai 1/12 Scale Death Trooper Model Kit

Sorry this is so late, everyone. It took me a while to write a proper review for this one. Anyway, without further ado, here's my review:

This is the Bandai 1/12 scale Death Trooper model kit. Death Troopers were elite soldiers of Imperial Intelligence, and often served as bodyguards for high ranking Imperial officers and commanders. Death Troopers were a more elite class of Stormtroopers. Trained in unarmed combat, as well as heavy weapons and sniping.
I won't lie, I love the look of these guys! This model is a fantastic representation of the Death Troopers that debuted in Rogue One. Like all of Bandai's Stormtroopers, the Death Trooper's armor has a very nice shine to it. One thing I like about this model is that it comes with different weapons, gear, and even a second chest plate. So you can customize your Death Trooper for any mission. Or just customize it to look however you like best. There are a few decals included, but you really don't need them. This model looks very film accurate even without the decals. Plus, the decals are mostly for the weapons. There's one that goes on the belt buckle, but you really don't need to apply it if you don't want to. I didn't use any of the decals for mine, but everyone has their own different preferences.
The poseability is a bit strange on this one. The reason I say that is because the combat gear gets in the way of some of the poseability. The head is made to rotate and swivel, but when you have the shoulder pad on him, it limits a lot of the rotation of the head. The head can move down, but with or without the shoulder pad on, it can only move up enough to have the head facing forward. The arms swivel out and rotate, but the rotation of the right arm gets obstructed a bit if you have the shoulder pad on him. Not enough to keep him from holding or posing with his weapons though. The gear on the torso doesn't get in the way of the upper body movement, so it still bends forward and back, and still rotates at the waist. The gear on the belt gets in the way of the legs moving too high upward, so you can't have him in a kneeling or sitting pose unless you take a couple parts off of the belt. The legs still bend at the knees just fine though, and the feet still move.
For accessories, this guy has quite an array. Like most Bandai model kits, this one comes with a few different sets of hands to hold the different accessories and strike cool poses. It also includes a small blaster that attaches to a clip on the side of the belt, two large blasters, two interchangeable chest plates, two interchangeable abdomen pieces (one with combat gear and one without), and a display stand. The instructions for this model show you how to assemble it with the combat gear on, but most of it is very easy to swap out.
I do a couple of small issues with this model. The first thing is the eye piece on the helmet. It's a very transparent green color, like it should be, but once you put the piece in, the black plastic behind it makes it too dark to tell that it's green. It's not too of a deal, but I do wish the green color stood out a bit more. My only other problem is that while most of the gear is pretty easy to swap out, the chest plate is a bit hard to remove. Other than that, I love this thing!
All in all, this is a pretty cool model, and if you're looking for a good Death Trooper figure, this is the one that I recommend. You get more weapons and accessories with it than you do with the Hasbro Black Series figure.
