LIFE

hey friendship. I'm here. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but things have been feeling a bit strange and uncomfortable for me lately. I've been having some issues with my anxiety and depression but I'm okay now. The main problem with the issues I've been having is that I've been in a low energy state for the last week. I've not wanted to do some things that, by this point, should be standard to my schedule of things to do. I've felt unbalanced and off center for the longest time and it's always been that I kept feeling like there was something more important for me to be doing...like trying to find gainful employment somewhere. (I feel like this is a classic definition of what depression is...) I've even had to deal with a few migraines as of late as well and because I don't get them often, they've felt more painful than I remember them feeling. Thankfully, with the last one I got, I managed to get get some tylenol in my system before too long and I was fin, but I spent most of the time sleeping it off... That was yesterday and my productivity was in the toilet for the day. It probably didn't help that it was raining fairly hard yesterday as well (as it has been for the last several days actually...) but that's a sidebar.

But, again, I am really pleased to say that I am feeling a lot better now. I feel like I'm coming back to what my normal is for me. I did get some amazing news yesterday that lifted my spirits as well. As many of you know, I volunteer with an organization called The Prison Library Project. I have been with this project for several summers and more recently, I went back to it after I graduated. The project supplies books to inmates who request them. The bulk of the supply we get are donations so it's a bit of a hit and miss if they request specific books, but the volunteers do their best to fill the requests. Our store gets a high volume of letters every week so we get a lot of work, but it's amazingly fun and I've gained a lot of confidence and pleasure from working with this cause. Well, the side effect of all of this has been that I've made connections with the manager of the store and the president of the directorial board for the project and I got recommended for hire at the store because of this. All that to say, I now have a job that I love doing, in a dream location. I'm starting next week and I can't wait

In the meantime, I've been working on getting things done around the house. I've been trying to get things done in my room so I can have my work space. I'm closer now but there's still some smaller issues to get through, such as getting storage set aside for my art supplies and changing bedding around. But like I said, I'm closer now and I can't wait to show you around. Even more that that is that I'm excited to have my own workspace again...

Anyway, I'm going to move onto the artsy things before I ramble on for too much longer here.

ART

knitting is coming along well. Yet again, I have added projects to the list, but they will be updated as soon as it all gets done. I am currently working through the simple texture scarf as well as a lacy scarf that I started a few days ago. Yet again, a friend of mine offloaded some yarn to me and it's GORGEOUS stuff, so I'm going to get through it all as best as I can. I have so many projects going on at the moment but I'm determined to get through it all before too long.

reading is coming along nicely. I've been working on getting through The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur. It's been hard reading so far because some of the subject matter is a bit difficult. But I've read her work before and I know she's a good writer so I'm game to get through the rest of the work.

writing is coming along nicely as well. I've been getting through all the writing and journals I have going on at the moment and I'm pleased to say that things are coming along.  I'm hoping to sit down and just write my hands off, but we'll see how well things go from there. I'm excited to see where things end up going in this area.

fractals are ready to go for tomorrow and I'm excited to share things with you. there will be a new print listing for this batch too. I also have a new vlog post going live on my YouTube as well so stay tuned for that well.

So that's about it for now. I will see you all tomorrow when I get the new prints posted. I love you all and thanks for being patient with me while I get myself together.

hey guys. Here's the new print listing. As usual the watermarks in the gallery listing and print examples won't show in the final product and there is no obligation for purchase. Your consideration is very muchly appreciated.

Hello friendship. My name is Meg. I am a writer and hobby artist based in SoCal and I am excited to share my crafty side as well as my visual art. I primarily specialize in fractal art but as I've mentioned, I do write and engage in other crafty things such as knitting and bookbinding. I also enjoy vlogging as well.

This year marked a very special milestone for me in that I graduated college with a Bachelors in English Literature and Foreign Languages. I specialized in French. It was years of hard work and I am happy I achieved this goal. Now it will be finding a job that makes use of the skills I picked up along the way.

I am also a published writer as well; I have a book currently published as well as a poem of mine was published in my school's literature magazine. See links below. I am also working on new material but this is going to be a while through yet. I have a few small details to iron out before this second book gets released.

In terms of social media, I have provided the following links. Keep in mind that while I do have Facebook, I WILL NOT be adding you to my page if I haven't met you outside of dA.
