The young hedgehog rocked quietly in his hammock, subtle mumbles and snores were the only noise he made. The shack’s straw and wooden roof successfully provided shelter from the bathing hot sun, the blinds did let a small amount in to keep the room nice and warm. Sonic’s ocean blue quills rested on the green pillow as the taped up hands were placed on his bare chest. His muzzle more a happy smile on his face, with the gang off with their own business, and Eggman busy plotting another scheme, Sonic decided he would spend a couple of hours relaxing. He snored as his mind filled with images for his dreams, endless fields to run in, chilidogs galore, and a sexy ebony black hedgehog brooding at the end of it.

A wet washcloth was laid on the black forehead that was quickly becoming warmer, warmer than usual anyway. The bat sat next to the fainted creature for a second before getting up and walking back to the office desk where the Commander sat. The blue hedgehog sat in a chair across from the human, looking rather distraught, though he tried to remain calm. The Commander’s office was nicer than the others, a larger room with a window that sat behind the mahogany desk. Two chairs that could belong in a living room, and a couch near the wall where a dormant black hedgehog lay. After he had lost consciousness, the blue hedgehog had carried him to the office they currently sat in while the Scientist returned to the lab. The Commander came with the bat and hedgehogs, making sure they behaved themselves until their comrade regained consciousness.

EPILOGUE:
The next morning, Queen Aleena was addressing those of the Robotropolis camp, frowning at the choices that laid before them. She was also hoping Sonic and his friends would be present to balance things out, but to no avail. Only Uncle Chuck was there among the others. “Are you absolutely sure this is what you all want? I know things have become extremely complicated since the arrival of Knothole, but surely there's no need for this. I ask that you all reconsider this.”
“Reconsider what?”
Princess Sally was approaching the camp when she overheard the last few words, and walked up to Queen Aleena. Glaring eyes from the camp turned to her.
Mighty approached her. “Sorry Princess, but we all discussed it last night. We don't feel comfortable having the Knothole fighters in the city and would request that you head back to your village.”
“What?! But why?!” Sally asked, alarmed.

CHAPTER 04:
Sonic sat on a rock overlooking the city. He stared out, his mind reeling with everything's he learned.
Shadow approached from behind. “...Sonic...?”
Sonic wouldn't even look at him. “...you shouldn't be here...”
Shadow frowned. “I just want to help-”
“NO.” Sonic whirled around, eyes glowing. “I mean you shouldn't be here! At all! Everything's changed because of YOU.”
Shadow was silent for a bit. “I...I thought that-”
“That what? That I'd just accept this? That my dad is some loser that left us at a drop of a hat? That's NOT my dad. My dad fought for us. And...just for a moment...” The lights in his eyes dimmed. “I thought that I would finally get to see him again. I...I was so ready for that. Now this stranger comes along and claims SHE is my mom?”

CHAPTER 03:
“Sonic, Shadow, do you read us?”
On the ground, Sonic and Shadow were running through the streets of the city, while Tails and Shard flew overhead. Shard was the one radioing the hedgehogs.
“Hear you loud and clear, pal!” Sonic radioed back. “What's up?”
“Us, that's what!” Tails radioed in, laughing. But then he stopped, spotting something ahead. “Hello, what's this?”
Shadow cut in at this. “What's what?”
Shard spoke up, narrowing his eyes as he scanned ahead. “We're seeing shadows ahead.” he looked to Tails, who nodded. “Tails and I are gonna move in for a closer look.”
Shard and Tails surged ahead, headed for a building where they saw movement. Hovering a safe distance, Tails eyes widened as he spotted what he was looking for. Shard radioed back, having spotted them as well. “Guys, we see SWATbots. Lots of them!  And they're carrying...something!”

CHAPTER 02:
Shadow couldn't help but grin as he looked over Sonic. He looked almost like his old self. “...wow, Sonic!”
Sonic smiled back before looking to Shard. “Thank you...I'm sorry for not trusting you before-”

“I wish it didn't have to be like that. It's obvious that you're a good guy,” Sonic responded. He looked to Sonic. “I still have my robotic systems...I just look normal on the outside...” He tapped the device on his wrist. “It does save power when I have to fight, going into 'battle mode' by forming my full robotic self, so I can use the energy to fight.”
“You seem to be adapting to the idea of being a robot quite well,” Shadow noted.
Sonic nodded. “There's not much more I can do at this point. I've communicated with the nanites long enough to realize this.”

CHAPTER 01:
The planet of Mobius was an incredible world, filled with wonders and surprises. It's history was constantly evolving, but now, it had truly changed. A recent event had caused the history of the planet to literally change around the central village of Knothole. Now totally unsure of what to expect, explorers from the village began to venture forth into the new timeline. Their destination was the city of Robotropolis, a place that they were familiar within their own time line.
The recent dark ruler of the city, Robotnik, had veen vanquished in both time lines. But how much has changed, and how much has stayed the same? And what was the damage?

AUTHOR'S NOTE: As of yesterday, SEGA has announced the official cancellation of the Archie Sonic comics. I dedicate today's chapter in memory of all those who worked so hard on the series.
CHAPTER 10:
Shadow worked hard to bring Sonic home, though it took hours, as Sonic's body had been quite heavy, even for the ultimate life form. His laser wound didn't slow him down, as it was already beginning to heal up, thanks to his ultimate healing properties.  He took him straight to Rotor's workshop, begging for help to try and bring him back.
Rotor had taken Sonic in, asking Shadow to go get Uncle Chuck and Tails for help, before the black hedgehog reported to Princess Sally about the success of the mission in Robotropolis, at the cost of Sonic's life.
Sally had went in to see Sonic for herself, visibly upset by Sonic's sacrifice and demanded for the three to work as hard as possible to fix him.

CHAPTER 09:
“Shadow, I have a confession to make.”
Welp, those were words Shadow wasn't ready to hear as he and Sonic were making their way back to Robotropolis. The black hedgehog looked to Sonic as they ran. “What is it?”
“You know that cannon that backfired on Rotor?”
“...please don't tell me-”
“NOT ON PURPOSE!” Sonic said quickly. “No no, I just took parts from the cannon that I needed. I was raiding Rotor's workshop while he was out last night and found it. I took the parts I needed. I didn't think Rotor was going to need to use it, and I certainly had no idea if was going to explode without the parts.”
“Yeah, about that,” Shadow started. “Why ARE you taking parts from Robotropolis and others? Is this about that device inside your house?”
“You saw that, huh?” Sonic asked. “...yeah, I REALLY needed the parts.”
“What IS that thing anyway?” Shadow asked.

CHAPTER 08:
“I KNEW I couldn't trust you! Dropping out of the sky, injuring Sonic, leading him to Robotropolis...you somehow roboticized him!” Sally glared at Shadow. “You probably even are leading the combots here!”
Shadow's own anger was starting to rise. “Now wait just a damn minute, Princess, I did no such damn thing!”
“HEY!” Sonic shouted, drawing the two's attention. “We don't have time for this, those combots are gonna be here any minute!”
“And you could turn on us any minute,” Sally pointed out. “I can't risk you attacking us again like last time.”
“I'm not going to turn, I can promise that!” Sonic protested. “I can fight the combots!”
“I can't believe you Sonic, you could be programmed to lie to me.” She turned to the others. “Rotor, you know that device you been working on in these kinds of emergencies?”

Chapter 07:
“Please, hear me out.”
Sonic pleaded to Shadow and Tails, who backed up out of reaction. Shadow stared at Sonic. “...Sonic...I...”
“I don't blame you. It was an accident, I know,” Sonic nodded.
“How much longer can you fight this though? Surely the mental strain of keeping your mind from being converted-”
“-I'm not.” Sonic said, cutting him off.
Both Shadow and Tails stared at him at this. “WHAT?!”
Sonic held up his hands, one robotic, one still gloved. “It's not going down the way you think it is, I promise. I'm...I'm not going to turn bad, I promise.”
Shadow rubbed his head. “Help me to understand this then. What, exactly, is happening to you?”
Sonic sighed, folding his arms. “When the nanites got to my brain...they were in a confused programming state because of the chaos energy. When they began to convert my brain to machine and programming, they were able to...absorb..

CHAPTER 06:
The next morning, Shadow was up bright and early. He hadn't heard from Sonic all night and wanted to make sure he was alright. He walked up to his door and knocked on it.
After a few moments, and several series of knocks with no answer, Shadow texted the door to see if he could open it.
It seemed that Sonic trusted people not to break into his home.
Shadow opened the door and walked in, calling out. “Sonic?”
No answer.
Shadow began to look around, wondering if he could find a clue of where he went. Rounding a corner, Shadow found something in the common room: some kind of strange device. It had a circular base, with four poles supporting a similar round top. Shadow took a moment to inspect it. “Sonic, you been busy...”
He didn't like this. It looked to be some kind of machine, with some eerily similar designs to the roboticizer. What to do? He could go to Uncle Chuck and ask him, since he invented the roboticizer. But the idea that he went into Sonic

CHAPTER 05:
There seemed to be an hour there where SWATbots were searching the junk yard for any signs of the hedgehogs. Eventually when they turned up nothing, they moved on.
The junk that had fallen on top of the hedgehogs eventually began to move and lift up, supported from beneath by Sonic himself as he looked out from under. He grunted to Shadow beneath him. “Nngh, they're gone.”
With great strength, Sonic began to toss the large scrap metal away. Shadow panted a bit as he crawled out from other. “Thanks Chaos. I don't think I could of handled being trapped much longer.”
“Yeah I could actually sense you beginning to panic a bit when we got buried. You okay?”
Shadow nodded as he helped Sonic out of the remaining rubble. “Yeah, I just don't do well with tightly enclosed spaces. Long story. Tell no one.”
“Oh, believe me, I got my own problems. It's cool,” Sonic grunted as he brushed his gloved hands off, though most of him s

CHAPTER 04:
It took some extra time to sneak around the city to get to the hideout, but once the two hedgehogs were in, Sonic breathed a sigh of relief. “Well, we're gonna be here a while, best to get comfortable.”
Shadow looked around. The hideout, which had been set up in the middle of the junkyard, was a rather metallic looking room, though it was dark. “There a way to see in here?”
Sonic looked around. “Don't tell me it's too dark in here for you.”
Shadow looked in the direction of Sonic's voice. “Yeah, can't you tell?”
“Lighting seems fine to me. But let me see if I can find a light source...”
Sonic searched the room for a bit before finding a small LED light on a desk where a computer was set up. “Here we go.”
He flipped it on and Shadow could see a bit better, though it mostly illuminated the desk area. “Not much, but it works.”

Chapter 03:
When Sonic and Shadow arrived to Robotropolis, they were greeted with a horrifying sight: the city itself, which had been half destroyed when Sonic took out Robotnik, was back up and running, with SWATbots marching about, patrolling the edge of the city. Shadow and Sonic ducked down behind a wall and Shadow hissed to Sonic. “And you said you took out Robotnik the other day? What's going on?”
Sonic shook his head. “Honestly I have no idea. This shouldn't even be possible!”
Shadow and Sonic peeked out from the side of the wall to see if the area was clear, only to duck back when a unit of Combots marched by. Once the sound of marching metal faded, Shadow peeked back around, eyeing the citadel in the distance. “Maybe we'd better go check and see who else is home, if you know what I mean.”
Sonic nodded in agreement, looking around to see if the coast was clear. “Follow me.”

CHAPTER 02:
The next morning produced a rather bright sunny day as Sonic came out from his hut, feeling fully refreshed. Waiting outside of his hut was Shadow, who was leaning against the wall near the door. “Morning. Feeling any better?”
Sonic looked to Shadow and nodded, patting at the fresh bandages wrapped around his chest. “Yeah. Changed them out after I got up. Doesn't even hurt now.”
“Good. Last thing I wanted was for you to be left injured because of me.”
Shadow looked up after a moment and sighed. “At least the temporal storm dissipated.”
Sonic tilted his head. “Temporal storm?”
Shadow looked at Sonic for a moment before waving him by. “Let's go get breakfast and I'll explain.”

This story takes place right after the "Endgame" story line in Archie Comic's Sonic the Hedgehog #50. Sonic had recently defeated the evil Dr Robotnik and destroyed his Ultimate Annihilator. But as the dust begins to settle, there are still enemies that had been overlooked, still on the loose. At what price will Sonic and the others pay for this soon-to-be catastrophe?
The answer may become more complicated, as the barriers of time rip open, and a temporal anomaly appears...

The seas were calm on this day. Returning from a Kingdom from the west part of the lands. The idea was for the young prince to marry a princess of the faraway lands, however he wasn’t so easy to be smitten with one female.
He declined the princess... Much to the prince’s father disproval.
The black hedgehog wasn’t rude to her, but more so informative to her. When he laid his eyes on her, he could tell this wasn’t what she wanted. She didn’t want a man to choose her, she wanted to choose her own, to marry for love. Just as the black hedgehog who she had met wanted.
He Bowed, took her hand, kissed it, then spoke to her.
“I’m not the one for you.” His voice holds no emotion but it was all she needed to here. And he could tell by the smile that she did have someone she wanted to be with. The prince had set both of them free.

    Despite falling asleep upset, I earned enough energy to make the cradles we bought yesterday, I bought more neutral things, unlike Sonic, who threw male and female stuff all over me. When will he understand...That not everything has to be pink or blue? I bought things like white, gray, hell, even polka dots! I don't really know what else to buy to make it neutral, whilst Mr 'I like gender roles' over there is buying stereotypical things for boys and girls.
    His eyes sparkled as he turned his gaze to me. "Isn't it great, Shads? We're actually going to do cute stuff with the kids!"
    "You look far too happy for me playing with kids that aren't even mine." I replied bluntly.
    "Not really, I just have a bad feeling about the twins meeting Lance." He replies sheepishly.
    That's their father?! That prick that looks similar to me? (Aside from the armor and scars)

Heeled shoes clicked along the tile as the female agent made her way down the hall. GUN was notorious for making long hallways as if trying to get people lost easily. That coupled with everything being the Same. Exact. Color. Made things rather confusing as to where you happened to appear. Thankfully, the spy had been in the agency for quite a few years now and knew her way around, for the most part. Making a few turns and passing a few of the grunts in the hallway, who she could have sworn eyed her up as they walked by, she finally reached her destination; Shadow’s office. Yes, Team Dark went on dangerous missions for GUN and practically risked their lives at times, but the majority of days were spent here, doing paperwork. Or so they were supposed to. The black hedgehog hated the thought and usually required quite some persuasiveness to actually work, while the bat made the appearance she worked, though those close to her knew she slacked off just as much as the other.     Amy opened her mossy green pupils and stared at us in bemusement. "Hi, Sonic!" She waves.
    "Hey, Amy." I beamed, but in a fearful way. Shadow didn't answer, he just stayed in front of me. The tensity rose between both of them. "Guys?" I mutter, they both snapped out of it, looking over to me. The eerie atmosphere spread over the isle, small beads of sweat dampened my forehead. Amy's large bangs lowered as she looks down, a sigh flew out of her mouth.
    "So, are you two dating or something?" She asks.
    "No," Shadow states bluntly, his expression now blank.
    "But you two are so cute together." She whines through gritted teeth, Shadow rolled his crimson eyes and dragged the basket to the cashier. I followed him and stood behind him. I kept close to him, seeing Amy standing there with a deadly glare, making my body quake. If looks could kill, Shadow and I would be dead.
