Pilot Light

Literature Text

We're you swayed by the fluorescence
of the pilot light?
Did you ever want to know
what was inside?

A child at heart
A thief, scrounger,
But we all praise her as
"The Light Bringer"

We're you compelled by the effervescence
of the Fission battery?
Did you never want to go
without being empty handed?

The lesbian of nature
Sleek, Mundane,
But we all know her as
"Toaster Repair Pony"

But,
Don't be confused by the
Fluorescence
of the pilot light,
as it's light glows
we all thought it was
her...

We're you interested by the presence
of this shiny rake?
So rare a commodity but so
meaningless in purpose.

We're you swooned by the essence
of this wonderglue?
Did you want to know
why it sticks for you?

A Child at heart,
Thief, Scrounger,
But we all praise her as
"The Light Bringer"

A Lesbian of nature,
Sleek, Mundane,
but we all know her as
"Toaster Repair Pony"

But,
don't be confused by the
Adolescence
of the pilot light,
as it's light glows
we all thought it was
her...

But,
don't be misconstrued by the
Essence
of a Fission battery,
as it's energy flows
we all thought it came from
her...

that it came from me...

We're you hoping to be invited to the lessons
learned by this Lone Wanderer?
Did you ever think or even know
that he's not everywhere at once?

We're you groping at the sense
of danger as I sat, waiting?
Did you ever care or bother to go
consider that I have more important things to do?

The Curious rodent,
Every Locker, and Item,
But through a broadcast we call him
"The Lone Wanderer"

The Class of his PipBoy,
Sleek, Advanced,
Yet through Three Dog we hear
"Golden Boy of Vault 101"

But,
Don't be misunderstood
by the presence
of a pilot light,
As I search under the grounds
the helpless call out for their
hero...

But,
Don't try to refuse
the essence
of a Fission Battery,
As it weight grows
I think of capping the merchants to
zero...

A Child at Heart,

But,
Don't be abused by the
Presence
of the rake,
as the leaves are plowed
it was done by someone
else...

But,
Don't be fused by the
Incense
of the wonderglue,
as it's usefulness shows
we found it was all done by
you...

Where is our hero
when she
waits for
24 hours?
This is yet another Fallout-related poem, with a lot of messages underneath, such as Curiosity, Reliability, and the legitimacy of Surnames. This is somewhat of a mix between my experiences with Fallout 3 and Fallout:Equestria, pulling in both the curiosity needed to survive, as well as Littlepip's natural curiosity. I got the idea, from considering my fondness for collecting the pilot lights, usually one found in the ovens scattered in Fallout. Sure, it's not used much for anything, only provides 14 caps per pound, and that made me consider "Why the hell do I keep picking these up?". It also had me thinking that, with the reputation of the Lone Wanderer/Light Bringer growing stronger, how do the people get the whole 9 yards of what they do? Which reminded me of how Littlepip had felt usually guilty when the DJ would boast just her and not give credit where credit is due. Man of Steel also provided some inspiraton, considering that in a real world of heroes, heroes are everywhere, but they cannot be found by just one person specifically. Superman isn't everywhere at once, no matter how strong, and so is the same for the Lone Wanderer and Littlepip. So, yes, a whole trickling down of ideas that began with one inconceivable looting.

EDIT: with the addition of a cover, the preview image now includes the cover. In the OTHER GRAPHICS folder of my gallery, you can see the graphic just by itself.

thank you! I wasn't sure if having all of those messages and analogies would be too abundant for the reader's to understand, but it seemed you liked it, so I'm assuming there is more to come!
