I grew up in the driest desert.
There was never anything to do.

Sand blown over bones, it left them perfect and white.
I took the pieces into an old shoe box with colored glass, feathers, stone, and string.

I made something new.

When I was bad my mother would prick my finger with the scissors she kept in her dresser.


One night I took those scissors and made something new.





This was something I did for the gorebook.
