I've been drawing all of my life. Mainly one subject - Star Wars! As a kid that was all I ever did, but I only used one HB pencil! Then I stopped for 10 years. I then got the urge to start again, but this time I wanted to do it properly - using different shades of pencils! I did a sketch of my cricketing hero of the time, Ian Botham, of different moments of his career, finished off with an original poem. I sent this to him and he loved it! He sent me a letter back saying how much so. I then showed a friend of mine a copy of the artwork, who then asked me to do a golf painting for him. At this stage I had never used paints before in my life and had no intention to either, but I thought about it and got some advise from a local art shop, who recommended acrylics. So I did a Star Wars painting and it worked. Then another friend wanted to buy this piece off me. I declined as it was my first ever painting, however he commissioned me something else and my second ever painting was a sold one! So I have taught myself over the years, doing a range of originals and limited edition works, and sell a lot of my art at specialist shows at the NEC and Milton Keynes. The funniest thing? I still haven't done that golf painting yet for my friend!!
