Work has become a desiccated husk of its former self... so I'd like to remind you that I take commissions!  I do not take requests.

Commission pricing for Illustration work, effective August 2017

These are the base rates. Multiple or conjoined characters or complex detail will take longer and will cost more.

$50 - Digitally inked color image with vector shading and a simple background or no background, as seen here!

$100+ - Anything more complicated. Like this, for example!

Content and General Guidelines

:pointr: There's a broad range of subject matter I'm up for drawing. My gallery is a great baseline for what I'm willing to draw, but it's not an absolute. I'm practiced with weight gain and pregnancy with mild amounts of weirdness; most of my commissioned work isn't stuff I would have drawn otherwise though it's broadly within the same sphere. :la:

:pointr: Unless the piece is explicitly agreed to be private, most completed work is submitted to my DA gallery.

:pointr: I reserve the right to turn down any commission.

:pointr: Some clients provide their own writing.  If you bring your own blurb I'll happily edit it and post it with the piece. I no longer provide creative writing as a service.

The Fine Print: $

:pointr: I take paypal and will give you my paypal address when we've agreed on a price.

:pointr: Please don't commission me if you can't pay me quickly. Work doesn't get past thumbnails without money changing hands.  If you're a new client I may request payment first.  The reason I typically do thumbnails first is some images are more complicated than others - we're not just settling on a pose and a shot composition, we're effectively haggling over labor.

:pointr: Please don't commission me if you don't have a good idea of what you'd like me to create for you.

:pointr: A commission takes a couple of days if my schedule is clear and if you respond quickly to email or DA notes. The work can take up to a couple of weeks if I'm busy.  The more complicated the piece, the longer it will take.  If I accept a commission and am paid for it I will complete it, especially if you have a history of paying in a timely fashion!

:pointr: Deliverables take the form of high resolution and web resolution jpegs or PNGs. A commission starts off as a discussion, evolves to thumbnails, then pencils, then inks and so on until finished. You'll get proofs at major milestones to make sure we're on the same page. This slows things down a bit but tends to result in satisfied clients and fewer revisions at later stages of the work.

:pointr: Individual frames of transformation sequences are treated as single commissions and are handled as such from a payment standpoint. If the sequence is to be posted as a complete composition then the final comp work is done after the sequence has been paid in full.

I never left.  But I only post commissioned work, and no commissions meant nothing to post.

Ooooh I'm so tempted... um, do I need to call ahead to Waistlines and advise them to order a few *tons* of food?

If they were, I wouldn't be checking to see if this is still a viable revenue stream.
