Back in medieval age, in Scotland, there was this custom allowing any Clan chief's first born boy to spend some time with the feet of an unmaried princess.

Once the candidate's father agreed on a price with the futur bride's father, the clan chief's son could inspect how the princess feet looked like before starting to court her.

Those closed doors sessions could be happens as long as the princess was still not married and a Clan chief's son was allowed to request for it as many time as he wanted.

Clan Chief 's son enters the Throne rooms and bows before merida.

Clan chief's son : "Aww. . . my beloved princess. Let me tell you how honored I am to have th honor to see your majesty's delicate feet. Your soles skins reminds me of soft a morning dew, your toes . . ."

Merida interrupts him : "yeh, yeh, yeh . . . we both know your father paid for it . . . so could we just skip that part ? Just come here, do whatever you got to do and . . . well . . . would you be nice to clean your mess before leaving ?
