The Starkiller -Quasar-

This is an illustration of the the most massive known quasar in the universe, weighing in with the mass of 18 billion Suns. :omg:
It lurks 3.5 billion light years away, and forms the heart of a quasar called OJ287.

I started this as practicing and ended up with this. I like the final result so I thought I will submit it.
Original size: 4000x3000
I hope you like.

COMMENTS AND CRITIQUES ARE MOST WELCOME!!!

UPDATE
I added a bit to the contrast and reduced the light. Also edited the beam's degree and perspective a bit and removed the unnatural light around some stars.

This way I would like to thank everybody who commented on this piece or added it to their collections, favorites.
Every comment is highly appreciated!

Hey, your art picture ist really awesome! I would very much like to use it in my master's thesis as in illustration. Would that be possible (and if yes under what terms of usage)?

What is crazy about quasars is just that what we see in reality, it probably doesn't exists anymore, just the ghost of what it was not what it is!

Yeah, something like that...kinda sad :(

Absolutely gorgeous.  Well done.
This is gorgeous! You might want to sharpen the jets a little, though.

Just wanted to say I saw this randomly while going through the prints and love it. The use of light is mesmerizing. When I get paid I am definetely getting this in a print :)

Would also love to know what you used to get the effects :)
