🚨 SCAM WARNING: Fake “Identity Badge Account Validation” Message on DeviantArt
Artists, please read: This is a new impersonation scam targeting creators.
A wave of fake “DeviantArt Discovery Team” comments is circulating,and they look more polished than the old 2025 scams. These messages claim your account is “missing its Identity Badge” and urge you to click a link to “validate your profile.”
This is NOT a legitimate DeviantArt communication.
❗ What the scam looks like
You may see a comment from a brand‑new account (often only minutes or hours old) saying:
“Your profile is missing its Identity Badge.”
“Your art may not appear in search results.”
“Click here to validate your account.”
“You’ll gain priority indexing and publishing tools.”
The scammer uses a fake DeviantArt-branded graphic and hides the real destination behind a URL shortener.
