Portrait of Frank by Soaringeagle78 Portrait of Frank by Soaringeagle78
This was a drawing I did in my Sophomore year for my beginning art class. We had this as an assignment and I was running out of time towards the end so I was forced to rush his hair... ALOT. >_<

My art teacher had us look at some of Chuck Close's art and his photorealistic style. We had to pick from one of his pieces to do our own work or find someone we knew who wanted to be drawn. I just did this based off of one of his.

The name of the original work is "Frank" by Chuck Close.

I love the style and the values of shadow put into the face. I think it's really realistic, especially the nose.
I got inspired and tried to do a portrait, could you give me some tips on it please?

Jesus, if it weren't for the name I'd have thought it was a photograph.
