- or in other words, what has four legs and flies? The other alternatives are of course: a dead horse; or, in this case, a cat with wings. Several other possibilties are out there, naturally enough: Gryphons (iffons/iffins, etc.) and their ilk - and possibly elk too, if anybody ever thought of sticking feathers on one of them; manticores, double decker buses, and so on, but only if you ignore the last one as being frivolous and silly, especially when involving Keanu Reeves in the situation. Sandra's welcome 'round for a cuppa anytime she likes though.

...aaanyway: told you I'd be sticking another moggy in, didni? Wings too, as per the declaration of underpants-stance, so there.

This catty critter comes courtesy of *ashbet, a character of hers called Angel ...I think - my head might be screwed on wrong about that though, but I'm sure she'll soon put me in the right if I'm not in it already. Eeh, moggies with flying-gear, eh? Guess the birds won't be chuckling so much once this sort of thing becomes popular, little beaky buggers.

I'd forgotten what a royal pain it is to make wings, arg (perhaps that ought to be Royal, dunno, I'll ask Her Madge later on when she comes round to do the skirting boards), but this time out I took moulds off 'em so's I don't need to make any at this particular size and 'pose' everevereveragain, which may well of course be never, 'cause first thing that will happen will be someone going 'ooh, can you do me some wings too, but spread out/fully folded/like bats' wings instead?'. Eeebygum. Feathers indeed, whose daft idea was it to invent the bloody things? Them naffing budgies, that's who, blummin' little newspaper-crapper-uppers...

Hmm, does nippular activity require a mature-content-thing? Better have one just in case I s'pose - and I guess you can also nearly notice what would be her netherly nookie-bits if this sort of thing went on in real life, so -

Very nice pose! And I love all the details you've put into this. Not sure about the anatomy of the wings though (looks like she's missing a joint there) but very nice work.

 - heh, indeed - one of those rush jobs, needed wings quick and used a mould from a pair I made back in the days before I paid proper attention to such things :/ Glad you like it otherwise, ta :)

She's gorgeous! And your jokes are both horrible and hilarious. ;P I also love how you type with your accent. Mostly, though, I'm just loving your sculptures.

Do you still make these?

accent? Nahh, I type with me keyboard, like everybody else :p

- but yeah, still make some on occasion - a lot less frequently though as they do take a lot of time and can be a bit prohibitive to most folks' pockets where commissions etc. are concerned - so most of the ones I do get done nowadays tend to be more for personal satisfaction rather than anything else - the stuff I do more of now is in much more miniature form, since it's quicker and cheaper to create, and of course ultimately more 'rewarding' in terms of being a mercenary old git, (several of that sort of thing in amongst my scraps, just to do a bit of self-pimping) but it's always a pleasure to turn out one of the bigger ones when time permits - got several more in production, but they'll be a while yet 'til they get featured in the finished-form fashion of things...

Ever consider trying to make molds of the originals and reproducing them? I did look at your scraps and, really, they look like they deserve to be in your main gallery to me. Some quality work there!

hi again, and thanks for that, glad she finds favour :) ... heh, I was actually half-surprised that the wings showed up so well, I was sort of expecting the flash to just create a huge shadow from one over the other, but I seem to have been quite jammy with how it came out. Guess I ought to take a 'proper' pic at some point, though...

heh, well, I dunno if there's an easy way to get around such things - actually it looks like you did a pretty good job of it with your Bara character-model - these ones on here are still a bit clunky and hefty, if I could find a good way of making 'em thinner while keeping the details I'd let you know straight off. Might have to look into having a go at doing something with plastics rather than resins, I dunno... anyway, these were done simply by sculpting 'em up over wing-shapes cut from card, and then taking a mould and casting them in lightweight resin, seemed like the best bet at the time. :)

As per usual I am in awe of your talent. This is cool. Slightly freaky, but still cool.

However, I'd really like to see the double decker with wings too. Chop chop - come on now :)

heheh - what d'you reckon, would a bus have bat-wings, or bird-wings? ...it's weird, but since I put that on the page, there seems to have been an influx of London-type sterotype-type red double deckers to this little bit of the world of Britain - and it doesn't even usually have many double-deckers of any other variety here. Dunno, maybe they flew here on some sort of migration-path, following the motorways like pigeons do. Hmm.

Meanwhile, lots of ta for looking in, glad you slightly-freaky like her :)

thanks very much - she's becoming a bit proud with all the favourable reviews she's been getting - imagine a cat's normal finickety-ness in keeping clean, with added feathers for preening! She's getting very princessy :)

heheh, thanks - and it's for just such reasons that I took the time to take a cast of the things so's hopefully I won't have to sculpt a pair of this size and shape again... of course, I'm stuffed if somebody wants something different done, but heyho.

- anyway, glad you like her, many thanks :)
