:bulletwhite::bulletwhite::bulletwhite:

Follow me
Along the road that only love can see
Rising above the fun years of the night
Into the light beyond the tears
And all the years we have wasted

Follow me
To a distant land this mountain high
Where all the music that we always kept inside will fill the sky
Singing in the silent swerve our heart is free
While the world goes on turning and turning
Turning and falling

Follow Me
Music by Kenji Kawai

Thank you my husband Keith `zerocomplex and my good friends Sam ^sphilr and Gillian *lolitaAgogo for always being so encouraging :heart:

This is the last from my series where a symbol of innocence and companionship in the form of an animal, or animals, will be featured. Here it is Perry, our Scottish Shorthair cat.

Hope you enjoy this and upcoming pieces in this series.

Thank you so much for looking :iconkissmeeplz:

Daily Deviation

Follow Me past beauty, tragedy, and the razor's edge that separates the two; android passion and uncommon grace from ^snowmask. ( Featured by SRaffa )
:iconskillzombie:
"No stop! You've got your whole life ahead of you!"

That was my immediate reaction to the image presented above me, followed by an immediate and audible "Whoa." The general style and character design used here carries just as much originality many of snowmask's notable pieces.

As with many of her works the detail never ceases to impress. From even the tiniest curves in the female character's fingers to the ruffles of fur on the nearby cat, the piece is a true feast for the eyes. The boldness of the flowers really stands out within the area of the piece and really add that much more personality to the picture. Their bold red color will be an almost immediate eye-catcher for anyone who's never seen it before. Its almost as if you can see yourself sitting within the room watching the spectacle firsthand. The almost mannequin-like woman design has always intrigued me and has always been a familiar theme in many of snowmask's drawings. Perhaps it represents a segmented variation of how we feel about ourselves and how the joints, which could represent friends and family, are what are really holding us together.

All in all, the piece is something we all experience in real life. How even the most innocent creatures (the cat and insects) must eventually encounter something tragic (I really look too deep into images like these.)

:iconsethfitts:
Great arrangement in this piece. My eyes are lead throughout the image without them going off the edge of the piece. The hair, girl, dragonflies and poppies are rendered wonderfully (they are one of my favorite flowers).
Great shading on the girl. I would like to see more shading under the girl. The floor looks a bit planar and almost upright rather than receding to the background. I hope that made sense. Maybe some shading on the floor at the screen in the background would give it more dimension.
If the background is meant to look "flat", then continue on my friend. Klimt had many flat backgrounds with very dimensional figures in the foreground.
Well done!

i hate to sound nooby, but what exactly was the salt for? the others i can guess where they went. the crayons (had no clue they made walter soluble ones) were for all the colors... like the floor and the poppies. and the ink is for all the black stuff... now the salt... O.o;

anyways i love the piccu. =D

That's not a problem at all :heart:

I used salt only on the background. While the paint was still very wet I sprinkled both coarse and fine salt over the paper, and when it dries, it forms little tiny white "stars". Basically creates a very cool sense of texture. It's not very obvious here as the paper I worked with doesn't respond heavily to salt, however in the coffee-coloured background you can kind of see the faint white blotches.

Hope this was helpful to you!

This is amazing! The color scheme is magnificent, as are the dragonflies (:
I also love how the woman has a doll's body, I did not notice it at first glance but made the piece even more interesting.
Beautifully done!

Hello and thank you so much for stopping by :heart: Glad you like the piece!

I think it's great that it takes a while to notice the fact that she's a doll, I made especial effort to make her pose look very human and life-like :nod:
