Type description
A Cyclizar from the distant future that’s been technologically modified with advanced cybernetics unknown to present-day developers. Powerful electricity and draconic energy now courses through her veins.

Skills
Miraidon can morph freely into three different forms: one that is her default state, one for speed, and one for battle. While in speed form, she resembles and moves like a motorcycle and is just as fast if not faster than one, reaching speeds of up to 430 miles per hour. The wheels formed from her neck and tail are also buoyant enough for her to float and move on water with ease. She is also now able to glide and fly using her antennae by generating electricity through them to form gliders, now that her antennae have been repaired.

Miraidon also has scanners implemented into her eyes, allowing her scan her surroundings and acquire information quickly like a computer in order to predict her next best course of action. Her biggest passion, however, is working with technology and engineering machines with many features, some more unusual than others. Her claws are selectively magnetic, allowing her to easily grasp small metal objects and even cling to metal walls.

While in battle form, Miraidon resembles a serpent with arms, hence her title. She can fire beams of electricity and dragon energy from her mouth, slap away opponents with her electrified tail, and the jet engines on her legs allows her to hover freely away from danger and burn attackers in the process.

Sometimes comes off as very artificial-sounding and emotionless to many, but she has emotions and basic needs to eat and sleep regardless.

Often feels worried that she will never fit in anywhere, even once her mission has been fulfilled.

History
Hailing from the very distant future of Lahgenias, Miraidon explains that the world she came from had been conquered and corrupted by Father. All legendary Pokémon are either dead or forced to follow Him, and the populace has all but given up trying to fight Him. The Pokémon of each city had to commit to holding a raffle once every two months or so. The names drawn are the ones shipped out to Father’s domain, either returning as fused and/or mechanical monstrosities months later, or not returning at all.

Miraidon was one such candidate. Father had been experimenting with giving regular Pokémon legendary powers at the time, and Miraidon was one of the lucky ones that survived the process. Surprisingly enough, she was let go afterwards to live in the slums as she did not wish to become part of Father’s ever-expanding army. She had managed to steal a time gear from Father’s collection before leaving and set to work building a one-way time machine to escape back to present day.

Due to her lack of resources in the slums however, the machine was on the verge of imploding when it was turned on. The time portal it created was unstable, but she took her chances and leapt through, leaving Father’s dystopian future behind. She was sent adrift between dimensions as a result, but Hoogius pulled her through to the other side into the spatial dimension.

Shenanigans happened, and using the spatial gear acquired by Hoogius, she escaped the spatial dimension and finally arrived at her desired destination. Now her true work in changing the fate of the world could begin in earnest.

Extras/Fun Facts
As a contributor to the group, Faela gave me the go-ahead to put Miraidon in a while ago, and Palgius's mission presented a golden opportunity to introduce this legendary Pokémon. She specifically comes from what I like to call the "Bad End Timeline" where Father has won the war and conquered the world.

Future Father secretly let Miraidon go through with building the time machine simply because he thought it would be interesting to watch. He in fact already has his own time machine to send back future technologies to his present-day self. How else did you think Father got all those fancy fusion-making, clone-copying, fossil-awakening machines so quickly? The Bad End Timeline is why. Thankfully, Future Father doesn't disclose anything that would directly happen in the near future, as he doesn't like to spoil things for his past self. :'3

However, the Bad End Timeline does differ quite a bit from the Alpha Timeline (the one where our story is currently taking place). The wormholes that have been dropping in characters from other worlds are paradoxical anomalies all converging in this particular timeline. It's why Miraidon recognizes Magnus, as his heroic efforts have been recorded in the future, but not Kenneth. As a result of this and Future Father's meddling, the timeline has already changed drastically to the point Miraidon can't fully predict what will happen next.

The paint-chipping is a reference to her shiny form, which just looks like Miraidon came right off of the factory line and didn't get their purple paint job yet.

The Iron Serpent title comes from the Violet Pokédex. Canonically, it was what Miraidon was classified as before Prof. Turo named it.

Her personality was inspired by Aigis from Persona 3.

Nice little touch with the paint chipping. Not just as a reference for the shiny colouring, but it also gives a bit of visual storytelling as well, as she's likely been through a lot back in her own time.

I imagine Miraidon is free to use as an NPC, just as long as we give proper credit as usual right?^^ I've got something in mind I could use her for.
