I heard that there was supposed to be some high Auroral activity tonight. So I was driving home from college and I looked north to see a light glow a little bit above the horizon. I immediately knew what it was, but I wasn't able to pull over on the side of the road because it was a highway and that would be sketchy. So I just watched it for as long as I could. It looked almost like a fuzzy green snake, dimly lit as it curved all the way across the sky. It didn't last long, but it was absolutely wonderful. I wasn't able to get pictures, but if I did I would add them in here somewhere.
I have been waiting for years to see the Aurora, and I finally was able to. It might not mean a whole lot to my friends that were in the car, but it was breathtaking.
If there are more this evening, I'll be scrambling to get to the park where I can hopefully get some more images.
