Is it bad that I'm just done with the 3DS's graphics? I'm ready to move on. The system was great, but it truly has horrendous graphical capabilites. It's 240p is just awful nowadays. I mean a lot of the games just have this bland, gross feel to them. Hyrule Warriors Legends, Mario Sports Super Stars, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Xenoblade Chronicles. They all look terrible on the 3DS. I'm not saying anything about the gameplay itself, I just can't stand the lowpoly models and awful environment textures anymore! There are really only a few games that don't look too terrible (that I can think of at least) like the Pokemon Games, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus Uprising to a degree and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Dragon Quest 7 actually doesn't look too bad either. My point though is that I'm SO ready to see the 3DS pushed away and for the NX to replace the 3DS as handheld. The graphics of the system are not great when compared to today's consoles. But of course this isn't too surprising considering the 3DS is almost six years old, and the hardware is even older than that!

Well, you're not wrong...and not the only one who thinks so! ;) But we have to wait for a long time before NX will be into the marketplace

Eh at the point of release pixelized games were really cool. Nothing wrong with a pixelised art style, its just up to taste.

It's not even pixel art style that I dislike. That art style is still used on a lot of the Wii U's indie games. I have no problem with them. It's the 3D games that I have a problem with. The ones I mentioned. They models are often pretty low-poly, and the ground is always flat with awful textures

Oh i see. As far as I know Pokemon's models at least have a substantial poly count.

Yeah the Pokemon models do have a good poly count. In fact, they're so good that they'll probably reuse them for the next generation on the new Nintendo system. Only a few really need minor tweaks. They'd really only need some texturing for a new console. But it goes to show how GameFreak often puts quality over quantity. Many of 3DS games just look awful by today's standards.
