Route 5: Barren Desert Map by Snivy101 Route 5: Barren Desert Map by Snivy101
In the central area of the Valina Region is a mountainous area. North of the mountains and caves is a barren desert! Route 5 actually! The route is full of sand, cacti, and rock formations! Also! Did you spot that area in the northeast area? To avoid the frequent sandstorms and harsh conditions, you can relax in the rock surrounded oasis area! Relax on a chair, cool down in the pool, or heal up your Pokemon! Finally, in the northwest, a secret temple entrance! Where to? A temple of course!

I like this map but I'd suggest to add shadows to the people.
They look like floating objects with no shadows tbh.

Yeah, I've considered shadows in my mockups, but I'm pretty lazy :XD: may add in the future, but thanks for the feedback ;)

Haha smart use of the random sand pile thing, although I'd try to tilt the caravan on its front left wheel to make it look more bogged in the sand.

I don't know who made your cactus tiles, but they are an edit of these used in my map! fav.me/d8es8ke
Well, they look similar, and they use the EXACT same pallette. Coincidence?

I'll be very honest. I used their palettes when making them. I honestly took a lot of inspiration from your map (structure-wise) When it came to the cactus tiles, I know your tiles are private, so I made my own. Yes again, I used your palettes, and if this isn't to your liking then I will gladly change them and I apologize if so! ;)
However, the tiles in mine besides palettes are entirely made by me. I made them myself. It's the palettes your looking at mostly, but otherwise they don't have too many similarities at all. A cactus is a cactus. The large cacti on ours have the same basic lower case T shape, but are very different sprite-wise. The little ones though, I admit they're more similar, but they were not copied. I extracted the colors for the palette, and then I did the rest myself.
I assure you, that the tiles were not copied and slightly modified but created by scratch by me (with the exception of the palette).
However again, if you'd like me to tweak the palette so it's not identical to yours then I'll fain to tweak it. The sprite though, again, is custom.

:? Are you mentioning the ones from Heavy-Metal-Lover's maps? Are they yours? If so then see my reply to him below. If not could you fill me in a little bit?

Yup I did make them. I totally understand what you mean but for me it's kind of obvious that you really based them on mine and it's flattering but I want to be notified next time ^^

lol. He's just a trainer. His dialogue when battling though is:
Prebattle Dialogue "Deserts are too full of sand. My boots are full of it! Maybe battling you will take my mind off my uncomfortable feet sensations!"
Losing Dialogue "I guess the feeling of sand in my boots isn't as bad as losing to you."
Postbattle Dialogue "That vehicle over there. It's full of sand itself! Must be uncomfortable!"

Some idiot somehow lost his vehicle in the desert and it became filled with sand. Inside, you'll find a couple items, and ghost types in trash cans.
