Smash Ultimate is shaping up to be one colossal and fantastic-looking game. While the only character(s) I would really desire right now would be a Gen 7 Pokemon (Decidueye or Dusk Lycanroc), I would be perfectly satisfied with the roster we currently have.

Masahiro Sakurai has given us some modes and features that I didn't even know I wanted until now such as the Stage Morph and Smashdown features!

Adventure Mode?

I do believe a story/adventure mode is coming, as Rathalos was stated to be a "Boss" rather than a stage boss or stage hazard like Ridley and Yellow Devil have been referred to in the past. In addition, I don't believe the area Rathalos was initially shown in was a stage but a boss arena for a story/adventure mode. The area is far too bland to be a standard stage, and without Rathalos it would be huge and empty. In addition, if this were just a stage, I don't see many reasons why the stage wouldn't have been completely shown off and showcased under the stages segment. So, I do believe this is a indication of some sort of story mode.

While I don't desire any huge story mode, I would love to see some form of one, and it looks like we are going to get one. While I would be satisfied with all of these features and modes that are being brought to Ultimate, there are two things that I would love to see in the game:

Custom Stats

Amiibo Functionality is returning with this game, so anyone should be able to train their Amiibo character just like in Smash 4, but it looks like a few features will be missing this time around. Custom Moves have all but been deconfirmed for this game, with characters such as Miis and Palutena gaining a single moveset with their previous custom movesets being mashed together into one. It makes sense for this feature to be gone because it didn't seem terribly popular and having to create 2 more sets of custom moves for every single character is a very time-consuming task. I did use custom moves a lot and found them to a very fun addition to Smash 4, but I can understand why they are potentially being rid of. However, I would still like to see Custom stats return in this game. Not only would this give Amiibo more customizability than the normal training, but it would be one part of custom fighters that would remain in Ultimate. I would not expect these stats to take a ton of development time either. Custom moves requires the creation of brand new animations and effects twice for each special move of every character. Custom stats, however, only change the properties of a fighter, something that seems as easy as changing a fighter's attack or defense or agility values in the game's code. As a huge fan of custom stats and Max Attack Little Mac cage fights, I would love to see this feature return in Ultimate.

Stage Builder

While this is certainly a feature that I could do without, like Custom Moves and Stats, I used this feature quite a lot in the Wii U version of Smash 4. Sometimes I used it to recreate my own fan favorite stage such as Fourside and Fountain of Dreams, but more often I would create some interesting stages for myself and friends to play on. Simple "Tournament Legal" stages with a cool theme or platform setup or a giant valley stage with a small bridge in the middle. I love the drawing the stage feature in the Wii U version, and I would love to see it return, though unlikely, in Ultimate. If I were to get my perfect Stage Builder, it would be a mixture of Brawl and Wii U's stage builders, with the base stage being drawable and there being a large variety of placeable objects and obstacles to use.

But most importantly...

KING K. ROOL IS HERE!!!

Finally got a Switch last week and it is fantastic! I'm loving Breath of the Wild. The shackles they've taken away like freedom to jump and climb is very refreshing for the series!

Thanks! The credit would not go to me though, each of my animated Pokemon sprites was made by another person, with me animating them!
