Ok if you like this movie, that’s fine. This is just my opinion and I’m not gonna change your minds.
I loved Wreck-it Ralph and when a sequel was announced I was hyped. I even heard they were going to do online and console gaming. But then the trailer came out and made it about the internet, I was a bit worried but still thinks it can be good.
Until I saw the movie and I hated it. Ok it’s not the worst movie or sequel I’ve seen from Disney, Mulan 2 holds that title. But this was a huge letdown.
I feel like this went against the moral the first film gave us, nothing needs to be improved you’re happy who or where you are.
Plus Vanellope wanted to be like the other Sugar Rush racers , but she pretty much goes Turbo in this flick. I get it she’s bored of her game, which has only three tracks. Which for a candy go kart game feels pretty lazy in my opinion.
Look I get what the message is trying to say, friendships don’t last forever you need to let them go and live their lives. But the execution wasn’t great and I didn’t like how Ralph and Vanellope behaved in this movie.
Plus the internet trends feel more dated since this movie’s release. Seriously flossing needs to stop it’s not cool when Ralph did it, it’s not cool when Sonic of Robotnik did it either.
It wasn’t all bad, there were some things I liked about this movie. For example I really liked the Disney princess scene and their comfy clothes, that I loved how they made fun of their tropes. Even with the original voices for the Disney princesses were there. Well almost the voice actresses for Snow White and Cinderella passed away long before this movie came out, and Aurora’s voice actress retired, which they had to get replacements and they did a decent job.
Honestly it’s not the worst movie, but I say stick to the first one. But given that John C Reilly also starred in Holmes and Watson, I much rather watch this over a crappy parody of Sherlock Holmes.

Probably my favourite part of this film is Merida’s Gaelic-filled ramble.
Reminds you of The Scotsman!
