I was thinking about what historical record there is of past tsunami and how deadly they have been.
Tonight there was an 8.8 magnitude earthquake west of Alaska and near Russia. 8.8 is huge. I hope that the tsunami warning systems are helpful to keep people safe.
Fun AI image experiment
One of my first ai image experiments was to ask it to make a painting of mount rushmore at sunset. None of its alternatives had four heads in a row and at the top.
Has anyone else found that Mount Rushmore is difficult to generate as an AI image?
NewEgg
I ordered a radio from NewEgg. I saw it first on Amazon, but didn't want to give Bezos my money, so I ordered it there.
Today the radio arrived in an Amazon box. I double checked I didn't accidentally buy two. The NewEgg tracking information doesn't include anything about the radio being shipped beyond giving it a tracking number.
I thought the radio was going to arrive slowly because I thought it claimed that it had to be shipped from China.
I'm curious what will happen with the situation. How will it resolve itself? Perhaps I'll end up getting two which would be interesting.

I went out to check on my garden and water it tonight.
I found a lot of volunteer tomatoes. I expected that. I took 4 of the biggest and put them in the area between my older patches. Now I have 7 specifically selected to encourage them with regular watering.
I'm hoping that the tomatoes are hardy enough. A couple that I transplanted had their root balls assaulted. The last one I moved I figured out how to get them up with less stress. I'll be very generous in watering them.
Of my 6 zucchini seeds I planted; I see one plant. I hope it does ok. All of my garden is competing with weeds. I can convince myself that the struggle to surpass the weeds makes the plants stronger and more productive.
It was dark when I was done so there are no polaroids of the project.
Another project I can do this week is dead head the peonies.
