Awesome work!
One day I've gotta get to know Terragen 3 to become a truly well rounded space artist.
(pun intended)

I didn't realize this was created. I thought it was timelapse video taken by a probe of neptune or something. haha. So obviously it's quality work.

I think it came out better than I expected. I do have control over individual cloud layers so fine tuning can make it even more realistic but I guess that would take too much time :P

Maravilloso e imponente los misterios que guarda el universo.
Los ojos de la humanidad se pierden en la inmensidad de los cuerpos celestes.
Impresionante y tétrico lo que guarda este gigante

Wow, look at the purty swirly blue ball. :dummy:

I do apologize for not having more eloquent words, but what else is there to say? This is freaking awesome, like all of your works.

That's incredible! To many others not really in the loop when it comes to planet creation or animation, they'd probably not see the big deal when it comes to half a minute of swirling gassy clouds, but for those of us who are we know how it can be notoriously difficult to create realistic-looking gas giants, whether they be static or animated :shakefist: This one is really well done, one step further than the usual "rotating two cloudmap spheres at different rates" (which also gets nice effects too, but cops out when you notice the storms don't appear to spin or change shape ;p)

Yeah I can also control speed of each layer to make it more realistic but I didnt want to spend that much time trying to make it perfect so I took the easy way and rotated all at once :P

I suppose if you ever feel like taking the next step you could even try having different cloud-bands rotating in opposite directions like on Jupiter. But it sounds like that's easier said than done :phew:

It's not actually difficult :P I'm still not going to to do it though. New projects on the way :)
