Andrew was having trouble sleeping that night, in no small part thanks to the events of the day. Lunch with Linda had gone about as well as he could have possibly imagined. She was respectful, kept her office door closed to prevent intrusions, and spoke softly the entire time. He couldn't have asked for a nicer time, and that was the problem.
Because now, he couldn't get it out of his mind.
“Urg, I’m going to be wrecked tomorrow.” Andrew dipped his hands into the small silver basin of water, well, he was fairly sure it was a ramekin used for holding salad dressing at a restaurant, and peered into the small square mirror at the bags under his eyes. He hadn’t been sleeping well for a few weeks now, and the culprit was definitely Linda.
