The fight was a long one. This Galahad and Brendan had been expecting. A Sableye alone wasn’t a huge threat, as they tended to attack in groups, overwhelming their prey with surprise, fear, and pain. When alone they were more of an annoyance than anything. Slow yet tanky, they were known for wearing their opponents down with sneak attacks and recovering health, and one either had to be lucky with a one-shot or hit faster than they could recover.
Lyre, Overseer of Minerock, was no exception to those Sableye stereotypes. After mega evolving, he’d dropped into the shadows, but not before Galahad had traced his ability, which turned out to be Magic Bounce. Fortunate for Galahad, because Lyre had popped up behind him and attempted a Will-o-Wisp, which had merely bounced back at the surprised Overseer.
What they had not been expecting was how versatile their opponent was, or how much faster he was than the average Sableye.
