One Eternity Later...

God it feels like an eternity since the last time I was in here! This place is so different, uh? I guess we all are. deviantART is a place very close to my heart. It's the cyberspace and community I grew and evolved as an artist and also a big part of childhood. A lot of things could be different without it as it was a costant source of inspiration but most importantly a place that motivates you to keep going and becoming better. *So emotional right now* 
So after 7 years of growing and evolving in 3D I decided to revive the SLOORP project. This was my nickname at the time for all my illustration work and most of you here know me by that. It's a new beginning and I am quite excited to create all these colorful worlds and characters in a new dimension.
To kickstart this, I recreated one of my most popular illustrations, which was also awarded as Daily Deviation, The Sloorp Universe in 3D!
So many feels!!! *sobs* A lot of new stuff are coming so you might want to also follow on instagram (@sloorp) and keep in touch.
I am very curious to see how many of you are still active here ( a few usernames that pop from the top of head are @admx @skookyspry @@pronouncedyou @@maytel @@samtronika )

I am participating on a contest on Threadless. It's about designing virtual stickers for the iphone app "Path". So I was trying to find a cool character to make a set of emoticons and inspiration hit me. The Goo was created! You can see them all below.

New work and trip to Barcelona

Hello guys!
I know I have been quiet but I wasn't resting on my laurels! I've done a new isometric illustration, it's the first time I am using this technique and I am quite pleased with how it turned out.
My new illu is called "Boss Stage" and it's more or less a game level! I sat down and gathered all the things I love in games and incorporated them in this project. It literally felt like I was in a level editor and I caught myself several times trying to make the level make sense, like I was making a real game. I had so much fun! I think it's my biggest work so far, I took my time and changed things until the last minute so hope you like it!
For Commenters:
Which is your latest fav game and your all time favorite game?
Do you like platform games? Which ones?
In other news, I am leaving for a trip to Barcelona next Wednesday with a couple of friends and I'm looking forward to it. Anyone there who would like to meet? That would be cool. I tried to learn some spanish, too. I didn't went far enough but I can say things like: "Voy a la fiesta con mi amigos esta noche. ¿Quieres venir?" 
Any suggestions on what places to see or which bars/restaurants we should visit are welcome!
