Belated thanks to the judges of the Epic Movie Poster contest for awarding first place to my 'Winter's Howl' poster! I'm really chuffed that it went down so well, and especially honoured given the quality of many of the other entries (like everyone, I have my personal favourites that I'm surprised didn't make the grade). Being pretty new to the site, I now need to figure out what I can do with this premium membership and points! Also, thanks to all of the other prize donators for providing such cool stuff (my poster from Wacom_Zombie arrived this morning, which I'm especially thrilled with!). Can't wait for next year's contest now...

There! Done! That's my 2011 EMP Poster Contest entry uploaded and submitted. It was quite an easy choice picking the brief - gangsters, tommy guns, a big werewolf, and a load of snow! What's not to like? To me the brief screamed 1930s/40s studio genre picture, and a perfect excuse to work on another retro poster design. Took a lot of effort to get the details right, from the 30s hand-painted style to the period-esque fonts. There's also a cunning anagram included that I'm quite proud of! Fingers crossed people like it...
