The Artist at Work

By slephoto
Part of a "Human Canvass" conceptual series, spinning off the idea of an "art model." The artist painted an original background piece on the model then overlaid it with miniatures of famous works.

Model is Trizzia, artist is Mike Howard.

Ty. Michael's a talented artist.
So fun, I jus tcannot get that kind of detail with an airbrush :(

But wow...

Do you have problems with the paint cracking on you?

I have tried many different paints and it seems I always get cracking... do you have something that you use to prevent that?

If you look at the model's neck, we had SOME cracking. We were using a semi-flexible latex based paint so we didn't get as much.

If you think THAT looks detailed, you should see some closeups of the finished miniatures. The artists was at it for about 4 hours before he & the model were too tired to keep going.
Yes, I know how long a body paint can take, It makes me tired somethimes just thinking about it.

but thanks, It seems like Flexible Latex is the best and least likely to crack a bunch... that's what I use as well.
