Abandoned Barn W. Va.

By slephoto
Halloween 2010 found me driving around backroads in rural West Virginia in search of this Abandoned Homestead W. Va., and when I found it I was delighted to discover an old wooden barn hidden in the woods behind it.

You can find this at approximately 38.471889,-81.474967.

Thanks! I was really happy I went to look for the house, otherwise I would never have found this.

if I had GPS and cheap gas, I'd drive in the country more. There still some real gems to be found.

The gas is the killer part. This was in the course of a necessary trip, you'd be amazed at what you can see, even from the highway. A GPS isn't necessary if you have a good map, but one trick that can help if you can spare a bit more gas & time is to route via Google Maps & tell it you want to avoid highways. That can lead to cool finds.
