Grufti

An exercise in perspective. No reference used for the figure stance and surroundings, but a ton of references for the details. The stairs and wall are kept rough on purpose.
"Grufti" is the German word for "Goth". REAL goth. Like 'darkwave' and 'deathrock' and the like.
All things painted by me, except for the Bauhaus poster on the wall, which I found on the interwebs.

Well I don't just listen to Das Ich and Death In June. I also listen to Diary Of Dreams, Otto Dix, Jacquy Bitch, Christian Death, Oneiroid Psychosis, Sopor Aeternus & The Ensemble Of Shadows and so on. Black candles are not my favorite but I still have them around, I hardly use electric lighting unless I get really desperate in finding something I can't find or somehow misplaced. But that's mostly happens because I forget to take off my damn sunglasses. Lol!

My entire family has it, in our case it's genetic. We can not bare direct exposer to light in or outside. My father wears sunglasses, my grandpa wears sunglasses, my Aunts and my cousins wear them including my grandma has to wear sunglasses. Without them we would experience a great deal of pain in which I would describe as feeling like a cigar being put out on your retina. I also have a problem with skin exposer to light as well, It always makes me itchy and sometimes I develop rashes. But that's what sunblock is for.

I just realized that sensitivity to light isn't even that rare, I mean, every albino has it. I just didn't realize that there was a name for it. According to the wiki page, "photophobia" is kind of a misnomer, as it isn't a real fear, but an extreme sensitivity. Hence my initial reaction of surprise. After your explanation it makes more sense.
