Hey all,

I'm gonna start posting art every Monday now! I usually like to try to keep the DA posts here a bit more on the polished side and I feel I haven't had enough time to really make that happen. Saving the post till Monday will give me all Sunday to work, which would be great! As always, I'll still be participating in Sketch Dailies on twitter, so there might be more posts in meantime as well. If you wanna see all my drawings they'll be posted on my Twitter!

See y'all around!

Hey Guys!

I graduated from Animation Mentor! Now that I don't have to stay up till midnight animating, I can keep on top of a consistent update schedule. I'll definitely do a post every Sunday, but maybe also during the week sometimes! I'm participating in Sketch Dailies on twitter, and if I like something I draw, I'll post it here too. If you wanna see all my drawings they'll be posted on my Twitter!

See y'all around!

Hi Everyone!

School is over and I'm on winter break, so I will resume posting every Sunday! The first post will be a compilation of stuff people who are following my Twitter will remember. After that will be ALL NEW ART! Yay! My next class is pretty low key, so I think I will be able to keep posting through that as well.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Hey everyone,

I was really looking forward to posting Halloween themed drawings this month, but it's looking like that isn't going to happen. I'm currently finishing up Class 5 at Animation Mentor. For this class I am animating a two character shot (lots of animation + stress) and I keep running into terrible things (software malfunctions, work being lost) so I think I need to take a break from drawing and just focus on animating for a while, until I get my bearings.

I really want to keep this a finished-art account, so I'll try to post sketches and things on my Twitter account instead. It'll probably consist of random doodles and things. I'm not sure how long I'll be inactive. Hopefully not for too long.

See ya around

Hey all,

I'm attempting to be somewhat active again! Most of my stuff won't be too fancy, because not only am I working a full time job, I'm back in school again. I'm going to Animation Mentor, and trust me, it's going to suck up a good portion of my time. I think though, being in school is making my creative juices flow again. It's odd, I feel so much less insecure about my work lately, and more bold about posting stuff. It's nice.

But while I've got lots of ideas, I have no real time to realize them artistically.  So bear with me if all I do is post rough concept pieces and doodles. Oh, and of course, the infamous People Standing Around pieces.

PLUS, I'm going to Emerald City Comic Con this year and I'm working on my cosplay. I'll be going as Maya from Borderlands 2 because Holy Fuck, that game is BADASS. Love it. Any one else going to be at the Con? YOU SHOULD GO, because not only will there be lots of awesome nerdiness, PATRICK STEWART WILL BE THERE! omg. All of my fangirlism. I should bring him some Earl Grey tea.

Hope y'all are doing well!

Hey!

Maybe I'll start updating again. I've got a job at a Flash gaming studio and I'm feeling pretty confident about where I'm going in life. Thanks to everyone who watched me / favorited my work while I was gone! I'm hoping having this account will inspire me to make more art now, instead of being a distraction.

See ya around!

I know I don't update very often - in fact, never really at all. I suppose I have an explanation.

Mostly, it's that I have a severe, severe problem with procrastination. At this point it's crippling me, and I'm afraid that the crux of the problem is - you guessed it - the internet. I've spend countless hours doing completely arbitrary things that are counterproductive to the future I want to reach. It's becoming strange to me, how I can boast about knowing where I want to go and yet do nothing to get there. I need to start valuing my work more than browsing the web. So I've decided that part of that solution involves cutting myself off of these sites, where nothing is particularly helping me and more or less distracting me. (WHY ARE THERE SO MANY AWESOME ARTISTS HERE WHYYY)

I would like all the people who comment on and fav my comics, art, and other things to know that I thank them heartily for doing so. You're far too kind. <3 I'm sorry that I will not be able to personally answer / visit your page. I need to get away from DeviantArt and other sites. Maybe when I've learned how to control my internet intake I'll return with ~gasp~ art to post. For now, it's best if I leave. (ALSO THERE ARE A LOT OF POKEMON SPOILERS FLOATING AROUND, I NEED TO DISTANCE MYSELF)

Final note, please visit my sis, Rend-Asunder. Her art is amazing and always improving and she actually posts things! What a deal.

Thanks :)

I AM SO SORRY IF THIS SOUNDS STUPIDLY ANGSTY BUT I KIND OF NEEDED TO TELL MYSELF THIS AS WELL

A lot of my art from here on out is going to be extremely experimental. So if you're watching me for say, comics or manga art, I just want to let you know there's not going to be a lot of that. Maybe one every once in a while, but right now I'm going to be flailing around a lot between different ways of drawing. Hopefully trying new things will help me improve.

So. Just letting you know. :)

ANYWAYS it's summer up here and I'm almost done with college summer quarter! Hooray! However I enrolled in an art class for the rest of August so even though college will end, I'll still have classes. But they're drawing classes so I'm happy.

OH GOD. YES.

I was hoping they'd do this. Motion Capture I think is something that's really really close to animation BUT just doesn't make it. I'm all for using references and acting out motions and filming yourself and all that when animating, but Motion Capture is a little too live-action to be considered animation IN MY OPINION.

Anyways its 90 degrees up here in Washington HOW ARE YOU? I think I'm melting. But's it's awesome to be able to go outside without twelve layers of clothing.

First, let me ramble to you about my art life!  I am proud to announce that have steeled myself into drawing everyday! Most of my drawings are realism and still life based, which is cool because as I get better at realism and draw it more, my less realistic stuff improves. Plus I'm doing a lot of experimenting with new medias like pastels and charcoal, but since I really don't have a lot of practice handling them most of my stuff turns out pretty sloppy. That's ok though. I am gaining experience and buffing up my portfolio! I’ve also managed to FINALLY set up a pseudo art studio downstairs. No more working on the floor of my bedroom while surrounded by a plethora of open paint tubes and ink jars waiting to be spilled on the carpet. I am so relieved.

SECOND NEW POKEMONS. If you are okay with spoilers they can be seen here: bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki…. I’m pleasantly surprised - I think they all look pretty solid and likeable. There’s nothing that’s making me cringe. BUT. Munna. Let me tell you about the curious case of me and Munna.  While I question the decision of putting FLORAL PRINT on a Pokémon and am slightly freaked out by its eyelashes, I can’t quite look at it and go ‘WTF omg cringecringe’. I can’t.  It looks like one of those unidentifiable glass figurines people stare at forever because they’re sure that if they look at it for long enough they will eventually figure out what it’s supposed to be. And that’s why when the game comes out I will invariably catch one because I must know what the hell it is. Is it a Christmas ornament? A glass globe? A piggy bank? An Easter egg?  Is it tasteful house décor?  Does it match the curtains? I DON’T KNOW. What will it EVOLVE into? I just – it mystifies me. So much. I can’t even.  All the dislike I should be harboring for its 60’s floral design and ambiguous soapbubble of a body has been defeated by an overwhelming sense of bafflement with a little WHAT THE HELL mixed in.

(Yeah okay that was a little long. Apparently I make a big deal out of strange Pokémon!)

Third: Saw the new Sherlock Holmes. Not entirely faithful to the books but there were tons of cool cameos and details from the orignal print. It was a lot of fun, had tons of hilarious banter dialouge and had a lot of great colors and sets. I liked it!

So next week I graduate thank god. This means that I no longer have to write ten page essays on various topics I am not interested in and instead I get to focus on my work and college classes. Maybe I'll actually draw some more art! One can only hope.

ALSO ALSO new pokemons are out. The legendaries actually look pretty boss, if complicated, and the starters aren't half bad. I'm totally going with the grass one because we will be bros. And the pig is ok, but the otter? It bugs me. It's like it has way to many colors going on. Also - clown nose.

Uhh, that's it for now lol. The only other interesting news is that I was mauled by a rope over Memorial Day weekend, and learned the important lesson of not trying to save other people's lives when they are not in danger.

So I've been pretty busy last couple of weeks. Currently I'm designing websites for three people and along with school, it's sucked up all the time I have for drawing. Luckily Spring Break for high school is just around the corner. Unluckily FBLA competition and College start that very same week, so I'll still be getting my ass kicked by work and stress.

Otherwise, I'll do the best I can to keep uploading stuff. It's not that I don't draw - it's just that I've been drawing a lot from life and I don't think that pictures of random objects and people would be that interesting.

Plus, I may have bought Pokémon HeartGold and I might be playing it as much as I possibly can. It's so adorable the way your Pokémon follow you about. It's also sort of nostalgic because my Silver and Crystal versions were the first versions of Pokémon I really remember liking. My all time fav games are still the Ruby/Sapphire generation, but I tend to think of Crystal as Where It All Began. (I don't count Red version because A. I was super young and I cheated the whole way through and B. you couldn't play as a girl. haha.)

Okay! Unnecessary information rant over! Enjoy the rest of your day, everyone!

Oh Lord.

I love April Fools.

Heeheehee.

*EDIT* Oh Lord I just saw the "real men don't sparkle" avvie and christ I died laughing.

The funniest part is that half of DA is like 'SHIT I GOT TWILIGHT" and the other half is like "OH YEAH LADY GAGA" or "WHO THE HELL IS SEEKER?" Meanwhile a marginal portion of people are flipping out and threatening to do horrible horrible things to the creators of these wacky hijinks. Via some method of internet punishment. I don't know. Good luck I guess?

As for the rest of y'all, enjoy April 1st and all the stupidfunny pranks that come along with it!

I keep telling myself that I'll update but for some reason I never do. I think some of the reasons I'm not posting are 1) I'm super busy with highschool and 2) I'm super busy with college. So I have to say, unfortunately, that I have no idea when I will start posting again.

ANYWAYS really I'm just updating to say that Anna-aurion kindly offered to make a plz account out of my recent deviation about Tales of Symphonia:

:iconcrazy-mithosplz:.

It's fantastic. Thank you!

You guysssss

YOU GUYS.

It got cold up here in Washington. This is of major importance to me, mainly because freezing is not one of my favorite activities. Despite living near Seattle where rain occurs in wild floods and cloud coverage spans for nearly three quarters of a year, I have not built up immunity to chillingly low temperatures. To make matters worse, this same chill has magically passed through the walls of the house. People, this calls for emergency blankets, NOW.

In other news, I'm still alive but busy. I apologize for lack of posting, but I've been wrapped up in writing papers and making my father's birthday present, but I finished everything I needed to get done yesterday, hooray! This hopefully will result in more art and less hair-pulling stress. But college applications are looming on the horizon, dear god.

ALSO ALSO. Got a job the other day. Well, it's a temporary job, you see, I make websites for money, and I contacted a potential client the other day. It looks like we're meeting later this week to discuss plans. I'm so nervous, I hope I don't do anything stupid.

ALSO ALSO GOT MY FREE OAKS LETTER FROM POKEMON THE OTHER DAY. Ohoho Shaymin you are mine now. Except, I'm super bummed I missed the free Darkrai event, sob. OH WELL. I'll get one... somehow.

Later y'all!

Hey y'all, I'm going camping this week! Who's jealous, huh? None of you?

I thought so.

Oh well, I suppose it'll be somewhat exciting... except I have to miss the first football game of the season and I won't be there to see our awesomesauce team kick major butt. (as well as our supercool marching band) Sob. But hopefully I can sketch a lot during the trip and maybe make a few updates, although we know how that usually winds up. But! All three of my new animation books have arrived to my household and I will be reading them religiously for the next few days because they are faaaaaabulous! Except for the one by Christopher Hart. Why is a book by Christopher Hart required in my animation class? I am very confused by this because I have a few other books by him and I have to say... they really aren't all that great. Well, maybe this one will prove me wrong. I hope.

Well, I'm off tomorrow to the campsite, where as soon as we get there, I am staking out the closest shower and designating it as MINE, because camping or not, I WILL BE CLEAN.

Later y'all

Miss Anni

Oof, my, the pleasantries of summertime sure do zip by fast. At least they did this year. School starts this Thursday, but I'm not nervous or sad, mainly because I am only taking two classes there this year. History and Art. :] However, by October suddenly I will be onslaught by college courses, the most fearsome not being the dreaded English 101 class, but more or less the terrifying...

Drawing for animation class

Ohhhh my goodness. This class requires 100 pages of drawings: 10-11 a week to turn in at the end of the quarter. Ooooh my goodness, I am halfway super excited and halfway scared out of my mind. I've never done something so drawing-intensive, nevermind several pages of life drawings. Not to mention I have to double this amount because the portfolio I'm submitting to CALARTS has to basically be the same thing. Oof. That's a lot of drawing! Not that I mind really, just I hope the procrastinator within me will be able to keep up with all this.

Anyways, how do y'all feel about going back to school? What about people who don't have school? What are y'all doing?

Enjoy the last day of summer!

Hello, DeviantART. It's been so long since I've accessed you from home instead of from a heavy laptop with subjective wifi.

So now that I'm back I have art to upload! But I won't upload it until I've finished the request that was given to me before I left for a week in California, so just hang tight y'all. I'll start posting weeks from now  eventually ok?

In other news the schools were great, and I really think the three choices I've narrowed it down to are going to be Woodbury, CalARTs and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. I have to start a sketchbook so I can use it as a portfolio for the prior two, and then I have to start hunting for scholarships. Wow, I'm going to be pretty busy, with running start and college prep and school and cross country and AUGH @_@. Well I'll pull through somehow.

Oh and I'm going to go pick up Dandelion Wishes from B&N because its supposed to be a really good book of poetry.

See y'all later

Now you see me, now you don't

I'm leaving again y'all. I'm going on a marvelous adventure, which will hopefully lead to the sunnier parts of California. We're driving our old, wheezing van down, which makes me nervous because whenever I draw in that car I'm immediately overwhelmed by crushing nausea. But I'll try my best to overcome it, so I can dump rainstorms of art on y'all when I come back.

I may have internet access when I'm in Cali, so I can answer any comments ect, but I won't be able to upload art due to a lack of scanner.

See y'all
