It was the beginning of a new day for the fox Mobian known as Freddy As he was woken up by his alarm he set last night so he could get up with enough time to get ready his first Day at Imawano Bakery. He put on his shirts and a fresh clean pair of thick socks before he headed downstairs to see his sister Kaylee in the kitchen making breakfast. "Morning Kaylee. Is breakfast ready yet?" Freddy said with a yawn as his sister looked at him. "Yeah just give me a minute or two Bro. So you start your new job at that bakery today?" "Yeah it opens at 9:30 AM so there's no need to hurry." Freddy just said glancing a look at his sisters feet hoping to see her socks but instead just saw her bare feet in slippers. Before he just started looking out the window at the birds and the clear blue sky which contrasted the rain storm they had last night leaving most of the ground muddy. "That's good. I'm taking today off to catch up on cleaning" Kaylee said as she served up some eggs, ham and toast that she had made for herself and Freddy onto two plates and put it on the table. "Heh this looks good sis. Though is it a good idea to take a day off today?" Freddy said as he started to dig in as his sister replied. "It should be fine besides I talked to my boss about it and he said it was fine" "Well alright little sis. Just don't want you in trouble." Freddy said as Kaylee told him not to worry as they ate.

After a good breakfast as well as some time to brush his teeth and read the Tawashi Times which had a story about a few Mobian's in the city losing their shoes somehow without the victims noticing even when the shoes or boots were on their feet. Freddy started to head out before his sister ran up to him and gave him a boxed lunch just as Freddy put his boots on. "Here as I don't want you to go hungry at work." "Thanks sis. I wouldn't know what to do without you." Freddy said as he took the box lunch from his sisters hands and put it in his backpack as he walked out of the house locking the door behind him. and after 15 minutes of walking he reached Imawano bakery which was a few blocks down from his house. And when Freddy reached there he saw Sayumi the Cat Mobian there finishing up opening the bakery and unlocked the door just as she noticed him. "Ah Freddy your here just in time." Sayumi said as she waved at him as Freddy let out a good natured chuckle and said. " Well I didn't want to be late on my first day boss." "you can just call me Sayumi after all it's just the two of us." Sayumi said as Freddy took a glance down at Sayumi's feet as she had white thin knee high socks on and her red sneakers with some mud on them but Freddy noticed that her left one was untied and he blushed at the sight of it but he soon focused on her face so Sayumi wouldn't notice as he said. "Besides I wanted to come early to help you open up after all I can't leave you all the work." "Ah well I was just finishing up and I got some bread baking already with some other treats." Sayumi said as she noticed the blushing which didn't disappear from Freddy's face. "I take it you were looking at my sneakers?" Sayumi asked as they started to walk in with Sayumi's socked foot slipping in and out of her left sneaker making Freddy blush more. "Wha..I just noticed one of your shoes was untied..." "I know that. I left it untied to see how you would react."

Sayumi said to him as they enter the bakery as the bells on the door chimed as it closed behind Freddy who said with his ears down. "so you were teasing me then?" "Yup" Sayumi said as she sat on one of the chairs by the door as her left sneaker slipped off her thinly socked foot and hit the floor. Making Freddy blush even more to where it was beet red at the sight of Sayumi's cute socked foot. "Oops I guess it was more loose then I thought." "W...Well I think so far it's working." He said as Sayumi just wiggled her socked toes in a playful manner as she was airing her toes out a she got down from the seat and picked up the fallen sneaker. "Well thats good to know. Say if you want you could hold onto my sneakers for today?" "No thanks as I don't want you to hurt your feet on the hard floor. Besides you will get your socks dirty with the mud the customers will track in." Freddy said as he looked away bashfully as he knew deep down he wanted to take Sayumi up on her offer as she just waved the sneaker back and forth playfully as she said. "Don't worry about it. My home is on the second floor of this building and besides I walk around here in my socks all the time when I'm cleaning." Freddy bit his lip a bit as he heard that as he blushed more and more as he let out a small chuckle. "Well if your ok with it. Besides you do look cute like that." He said as he glanced down at Sayumi's one shoe one sock combo as he took the in Sayumi's hand from her as she said. "Thanks besides it feels nice like this anyway." She said before she glanced down at Freddys boots that didn't have any mud on them.but he didn't notice as he zoned out looking at sayumi's sneaker that was in his hand and was blushing quite red to the point Sayumi put a hand on his shoulder as she was worried. "hey you ok your a red as a tomato" Freddy soon snapped out of it.

"Ah sorry I guess I zoned out for a bit." He said sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his hand with his free hand. "It's ok it happens sometimes when i get new shoes." Sayumi said as she started to run her socked foot on his boots. Freddy's ears shot up as his body went ridged when he felt this. he soon gulped loudly as he watched Sayumi's socked foot rub against the side of his boot in a playful, seductive way as he asked her. "G...Guess you have something on your mind?" He giggled out nervously as his blush returned in full force. "Well I was wondering If I could try on one of your boots? Cause they look like they might fit. Besides their in a nice color." Sayumi Asked Freddy who was surprised by this for a moment before a smile formed on his face as he sat down in a nearby chair and set Sayumi's sneaker on chair next to him and began to undo the laces on his left boot. "Well I don't know about them fitting but you will look cute anyway." He said as he finished undoing the laces and removed the boot from his thick white socked foot. And soon handed it to Sayumi without noticing she was blushing at little when she took the boot. And sat in a chair on the left of him and put the boot on and tied the laces before she said. "Hm it feels quite good and it's a bit loose but not bad." Freddy just smiled when he saw how cute Sayumi looked with the loose boot on her foot as he asked. "You want to try the other one too? So you can keep balance?" "sure That would be wise." Sayumi said as she removed her other sneaker and out it with the other one on the chair to the right of Freddy as Freddy untied the laces and started to take off his right boot. But soon he noticed That Sayumi's right sock was not pure white but had some red at the heel and toes of the sock. Which made him blush when he realized she was wearing mismatching socks. "Thats quite cute." Freddy said as he handed the right boot to Sayumi who just put it on and started to tie it.

"Say...Um I wanted to ask what you think of me?" Sayumi asked as she finished tying the right boot. "Cause to tell the truth I think I am falling for you." "F...fall for me!?" Freddy Said as he was shocked by what he heard. "Yeah After all your a nice guy, Have a shoe and sock fetish and We are going to be working together so who knows what will happen?" Sayumi just said as Freddy looked away a bit nervous before looking back with a smile on his face and said in a shy tone. "Well...If were getting it all out int he open...I guess I have a crush on you too." "With that Sayumi just kissed him on the cheek making him blush as she got up from the chair. "I'm Glad you do But first lets get to work. I think were about to get out first customer." "R...Right customers" Freddy Said as he recovered from the kiss he got from Sayumi and grabbed her shoes that were next to him before going behind the cash register storing Sayumi's sneakers under his stool as he sat there as Sayumi welcomed their first customer for the day.
