Finally have a new piece to show off.  I began work on this back in July, and I just never got around to finishing it.  I got involved in other things, had little time.  I could only draw a little bit everyday.

Let me start off by linking to the video that inspired this piece: www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcTS1f…

That is from an episode of Wonder Woman, called "Fausta: The Nazi Wonder Woman".  It features a Nazi plot to kidnap Wonder Woman.  The bad guys trick Wonder Woman into standing on top of a trap door, and when she falls, a thug chloroforms her under the stage.  The way the scene was shot, including the way Lynda Carter acted, makes it the best chloroform scene ever.

My drawing shows Wonder Woman in the process of being chloroformed by the thug in the video.  Her arms are above her, in an attempt to grab hold of the thug.  By this point, her eyes are getting heavy and her arms are growing weak.  The costume I drew is based on the one Lynda Carter wore in the show.

What I drew above will never capture the essence of the scene.  It is but a humbling tribute.  Just watch the real thing for yourself.

A nice tribute not only to the scene in the TV series that reveals Wonder Woman's weakness (the removal of her magic belt) but alsonthe only episode of the series that shows Wonder Woman bound with her own golden lasso. In the picture, the expressions on the faces of the Nazi agent and Wonder Woman are priceless and say it all. Nazi agent: "Hope this lasso works on her like it worked on me! (To Wonder Woman) Tell me, Wonder Woman: how can I make you helpless and make you helpless?" Wonder Woman: "No!! I must not reveal my weakness!! But the golden lasso is forcing me to tell the truth!! (To the Nazi agent) Remove my magic belt!" Nazi agent: "The belt is the source of your strength?" Wonder Woman: "Yes! I must wear it when I'm away from Paradise Island!" Nazi agent: "Will the chloroform keep you unconcious?" Wonder Woman: "Must tell the truth!! (To the Nazi agent) Yes!!"

Yep, I have that scene pretty much memorized verbatim.  Classic TV.

Yes the chloroform scene in it is one of a kind. We'll likely never see something like it again!

I wish Lynda Carter had done audio commentary for that episode.

"This is the first chloroform scene in the series.  I practiced it with my friend Lindsay Wagner from the Bionic Woman.  I am a method actor so we used real chloroform.  I have to say I actual enjoyed the effects."

There is a scene from Bionic Woman bloopers where she's chloroformed in Bionic Beauty and the guy loses his grip on her, and he and Lindsay start laughing.  Wish there was a blooper reel for Wonder Woman.

Yeah too bad we'll never see that.  It's okay though, we have our artistic skills and imaginations.  We can create things far better.

Yes totally.  Her thoughts and feelings, her acting technique.  It's all very fascinating.  And we will likely never know!
