When I started beading, I didn't have internet access, I had books to bead from. It's so much easier now, just look around, you'll have more than you can cope with! Try the simpler things first, of course - I found that trying something that's too complicated made me lose my (already short!
) patience. Leave that to later when you're better with beading.
Try something that's unique. It's pretty hard, because there's so much out there, but make something that you've never seen anywhere - if it makes you happy, I'm sure other people will like it too.
As for the pieces you see here, the amulet bags, you need bead netting, and there's a simple vid tutorial for it on YT. part 1:[link] part 2: [link] You can use it to make many things, and try to add something that you like, a fringe, change sizes of the beads etc.
One of my favourite artists here on dA who makes wonderful things is *Ellygator. Look around in her gallery, she's got tutorials too, and she's a great inspiration. She's super nice too.
I hope that helps some.

You're absolutely right! I like the one with the amethyst much better and the aventurine chips would fit a darker colour of green, maybe. the blue seed beads are too shiny for turqoise, I think I just wanted to make something low-key in colour, but I could never duplicate the amethyst one. I feel really boring with the white beads, though, but they're my favourite.
