Wow, these are so pretty! I've only just started the hobby of beading myself and I must say this has been such an inspiration to get better and develop my skills! :D

Thank you so much - that's the best thing you can say to someone, I'm very flattered. :blushes:

No need for thanks, I'm the one who should be thanking you. Could you recommend anything a noobie should try? I do so want to improve my skills and learn new things.

When I started beading, I didn't have internet access, I had books to bead from. It's so much easier now, just look around, you'll have more than you can cope with! Try the simpler things first, of course - I found that trying something that's too complicated made me lose my (already short!) patience. Leave that to later when you're better with beading.
Try something that's unique. It's pretty hard, because there's so much out there, but make something that you've never seen anywhere - if it makes you happy, I'm sure other people will like it too.
As for the pieces you see here, the amulet bags, you need bead netting, and there's a simple vid tutorial for it on YT. part 1:[link] part 2: [link] You can use it to make many things, and try to add something that you like, a fringe, change sizes of the beads etc.
One of my favourite artists here on dA who makes wonderful things is *Ellygator. Look around in her gallery, she's got tutorials too, and she's a great inspiration. She's super nice too.
I hope that helps some. :)

Oh gosh thank you! It's definitely a help. I'll definitely have to link you when I manage to get round to making an amulet bag. :D
I just have my exams to get done and then I have a few months of real beading time! YAY! ^^
Thank you for the links and suggestions though.

Just beautiful Betti.

Delicate but striking.
Love the mix of colours and beads.
Photography is perfect too!

:blushes: Really, it's nothing special, just simple. Thank you! You know how much it means to me, coming from you. I liked to make the photo, though.

Both are cool, but the amethyst one is better, since the aventurine is too green to the blue seed beads. Maybe aquamarine or turquoise would match more. Good luck!

You're absolutely right! I like the one with the amethyst much better and the aventurine chips would fit a darker colour of green, maybe. the blue seed beads are too shiny for turqoise, I think I just wanted to make something low-key in colour, but I could never duplicate the amethyst one. I feel really boring with the white beads, though, but they're my favourite. :giggle:
Thank you for the comment! :aww:

I have chips that would match the blue bag. :giggle:

Shall I hunt down some of those blue beads for you then? :D

No thanks, there are lots here. :)

I would have critiqued this piece; but I have no knowledge in artisan crafts unfortunately. I must say though, they're beautiful! I especially love the lilac colored one. The textures aree so pretty.

You don't have to be an expert to criticize. ;) But thank you very much for the comment - saying it's beautiful is the biggest praise I can get.
