P e r s o n a l i t y ;
Present: Very infantile and curious, Alyssa is always eager to explore. Her mindset strongly resembles one of a young child, who's self-preservation instincts have not developed yet. Due to mental degradation, Alyssa lacks a basic understanding of the world and how to behave in social situations, usually taking the route of mimicking individuals she is drawn to. As it would be expected of a child, Alyssa is very naive and tends to develop an attachment to people at a very quick pace. When that happens, she is particularly needy and clingy of a person, viewing them as a parental figure and oft times adopting their behaviour. Another quality coming from her pre-pubertal state is an inability to control emotions. Alyssa tends to respond to actions and situations with a full-blown reaction, therefore making her either cry or laugh takes no effort. Yet unfamiliar with the concept of a lie, she, like most children, is completely genuine about her words, actions and feelings.

Pre-traumatic personality: Coming from an elevated status background, Alyssa lived up to the worst of its stereotypes. Being surrounded by luxury and having each of her wimps attended from a very young age, Alyssa had grown to be incredibly spoilt and entitled. Her demands have always been nearly impossible to meet, and not having them fulfilled would result in tantrums and occasional violence. To Alyssa, who had always been proud of her high position, the rest of the world were mere servants with no other purpose but attendance to her needs.

Deactivated Form: A tattoo of blue beads circling Alyssa's waist, interrupted by a rhombus around her belly button and on the lower back. There are also two blue dots residing under each of the rhombuses.

Activation of Innocence changes Alyssa's appearance. Her usual fair skin tone turns dark, whereas blonde hair takes an unnatural shade of green. Blue eyes also change in colour, adopting a pink hue instead. The tattoo around Alyssa's waist spreads across the majority of her body, although is most notable on the face.

The basic ability of Spellsinger once activated is weather manipulation. It allows Alyssa to collect clouds, induce fog or summon rain. Alternatively, she can also get rid of these weather conditions, unless they've been induced superficially.

Level 1
Aura Bolt A weak energy bolt is released from the palms of Alyssa's hands. The range of the attack is small and requires close combat for full effectiveness. If used within the bolt's range yet with no direct contact of Alyssa's hands, the power is notably weaker.
Hydro Blast The principle and execution of this attack are similar to the one above, although instead of emitting electricity, Alyssa strikes with pressurized water. The main difference from Aura Bolt is that Hydro Blast is a long-range attack. However, all the same, it causes much greater harm when used within a small distance from the target.
Frost Bolt A disarming technique that limits the opponent's movements by entrapping their bottom limbs in ice. It is absolutely useless in fights against the akuma as they are known to have an ability to float. There is a chance Alyssa can possibly shift the focus of the attack from solely bottom to other body parts, however, she has not shown interest in exploring it further.
Frost Wall Deemed as one of the most threatening and powerful of Alyssa's attacks is, as previously, ice-based. Alyssa creates a wall of ice, which is often perceived by the enemies as a shield for herself and the comrades. However, this is the twist of it for the attack is an offensive type and the thick frozen wall rushes into the opponents with a mission of crushing them.
Sleepy Cloud Most efficient yet largely avoided technique of Alyssa is, in its essence, collection of a cloud that consists of sleep-inducing gas. While the attack has a 100% success rate and no known means of resistance, controlling it takes mental effort Alyssa simply does not possess. Keeping that in mind it becomes evident there is a big chance to disarm allies instead of the enemy.
Aqua Splash The principle of the attack is similar to Frost Wall, although the wall summoned is made of water in a liquid state instead of solid. That changes the aim and result of the attack to swarming the enemy rather than crushing them. Depending on the enemy's physical features, it may be seen as lethal.
Clear Mind Alyssa has the ability to regenerate stamina and recover from injuries through entering a trance-like state. In such condition, she must be guarded against the outside harm for in the event of interruption the progress will be lost fully. With no viable result achieved, the stance will leave Alyssa fatigued due to enormous amounts of energy required to set the regeneration process off. The time frame for recovery ranges depending on the initial energy loss and severity of injuries.
The Final Song The attack is only available upon Alyssa's state weakening to the extreme, either from extensive use of Innocence in combat or from enduring severe physical damage. Similarly to Clear Mind, this attack is induced by achieving a certain mental state, which could be described as a near-death experience. In preparation for The Final Song, Alyssa experiences a gush of power so strong her body begins radiating faint blue-ish glow. At this stance, she is also capable of regaining her pre-traumatic personality, combined with the infantile Alyssa's memories. Once all the criteria are met and the required amount of power has been accumulated, she is ready to move into offence; eliciting a high pitched yet smooth and pleasant to hear canticle. Fueled by Innocence, it brings no harm to humans, but instantly cleanses every akuma, regardless of the level, within a 5 kilometers range. It has first been named 'Angelic Singing', but due to a big strain on the overall well-being of Alyssa, ranging from damaged vocal chord to possible lethal exhaustion the name has been changed. When singing, Alyssa is fully vulnerable to attacks, therefore can be easily taken out by a non-akuma enemy. With the song coming to an end, Alyssa's artificial colours are fading and by the time she's back to her original looks, the attack is officially over.

| Background

H i s t o r y ;

Born in a Greek family of many children and little resource, Alyssa had been exposed to poverty from the moment she entered the world. Despite her parents putting ginormous efforts into feeding all of her 11 siblings, the money and food had always been scarce, calling for many desperate measures. This being the age of Turkish invasion, one such measure has been taken in terms of Alyssa who, even as a child, was remarkably beautiful. At the frail age of 9, for the sake of paying a doctor to save a pneumonia-stricken infant son, the girl of significant features has been sold to a Turkish Sheikh as a bride-to-be.

The first few years of married life were unbearable; the age gap between her and the husband was of a few decades and consummation was particularly rough on the child-wife. However, with time passing alongside her body Alyssa's mind had grown mature as well. Obedience and fulfilment of her husband's demands had proven to give Alyssa a privilege to be given anything and everything she wanted. With a previously unwilling young wife as stunning now growing into a fine, lenient and affectionate woman, the Sheikh could never let a single of Alyssa's whims to be unattended.

Three years passed since the marriage and a 12-year-old Alyssa got pregnant. However, her young body was not yet prepared to bear a child, leading to a series of complications and surgical interferences in order to save her life. Although the baby has been lost in a process, it led to Alyssa obtaining powers previously unheard of. The indication of a miracle were odd markings surfacing on the damaged skin of her stomach, looking nothing like scars she was meant to be riddled by. The rumour circulating spoke of the Sheikh's young wife being a saint who's been blessed for her suffering and compensated by Allah for the loss of a child. The word spread the girl was now able to control the weather, and the Sheikh's immediate determination of hiding his beautiful wife away from the sight of the public was a mute confirmation of that. His main motivation behind this, however, wasn't fear of Alyssa's supernatural power being called witchcraft or of her becoming a potential target of kidnappers. The Sheikh, despite practical usage of the skill, refused to have the public see his wife stripped of her signature features: milk-white skin and silky blonde hair.

The following years carried no significant changes in Alyssa's life - her powers had long since turned into folklore, stretching long past Istambul and all the way back to her home country. The secrecy she was kept in since the discovery ensured the rumors remained to be mere rumors, and those triggered no interest of the Earl nor the Order for a long time. Such idle existence of an accommodator came to an end upon the Finders hearing a tale of a 'princess who summons the rain' while carrying out an expedition in Greece, which set them off on a way to Turkey. With the Sheikh guarding his wife's power and not letting anyone near her in general, the overall investigation to determine her potential to be an accommodator took almost a full calendar year.

However, after many months of trial and error in order to gain access to the girl, this has been finally achieved. Hard work of the Finders proved to be rewarding as Alyssa's identity as an accommodator of Innocence has been confirmed and before long an exorcist, Yuu Kanda, has been dispatched with a mission of retrieving her. Prior to his arrival the Finders attempted reasoning with the Sheikh, explaining potential life threats of being in a constant presence of the accommodator. As expected, he refused hearing anything about giving his precious trophy of a wife away, and by the time Kanda made it to the site, no resolution has been achieved.

Not known for a patient approach nor strong negotiating skills, the exorcist refused to waste time mollycoddling the Sheikh and instead came up with a solution of simply kidnapping the girl. However, the spoilt princess wasn't the type to let a foreign man take her away easily, engaging both in fierce hand-to-hand combat with a couple of snarky remarks made regarding Kanda's hair. The exorcist, having a set of undeniable advantages, didn't take long to disarm his opponent, but even then the girl refused to go down quietly. The power struggle both exchanged in a span of few minutes allowed Alyssa to squirm out of Kanda's grip, however, the price she paid was loss of balance. The fall was pretty unfortunate as well, and a hard hit of the head against the window sill knocked the princess out cold. Slightly flabbergasted by such idiotic outcome, without a suspicion of what's to come, Kanda then collected the breathless body and fled with it.

Upon Alyssa coming back to senses, Kanda and the Finders were struck by a horrific realization - the impact of a hit had not just taken her consciousness away, but had also caused what could be described as amnesia. The girl who opened her eyes was nowhere near the fierce princess they've captured, unable to remember her own name, let alone the attitude she treated everyone with. The issue arose right off the bat as the group realized none of them knew the girl's name to begin with, yet she had to be referred to somehow. Due to a sound 'ma-oh' Alyssa used to finish her sentences with previously, Kanda suggested naming her Mao for the time of being.

At the Order headquarters, more complications arose, proving not was only Alyssa stripped of her memories, but her mental age had suffered severe degradation. The young woman's behavior was strongly infantile, sporting such qualities as a refusal to separate from Kanda, whom she had formed a strong attachment to. Based on Alyssa's incapability to adapt, supported by tantrums, there was no other choice but assign her to Tiedoll's team. Despite the fault being partly his, Kanda was less than impressed he was unofficially made a babysitter of a half-witted girl.

Given her incapability to attend her own needs and assess situations as a mature person, Alyssa has therefore been fully excluded from any missions. The Order was forced to spend months of extensive examinations and training to get Alyssa into activating Innocence alone in order to learn its capacities and strength. With her personality being bubbly and incredibly affectionate, paired with attractive looks, she was quick to become liked within the Order. A particularly vicious vixen of an exorcist named Liliana was the first to see all the potential Alyssa had and wasted no time to get the living definition of naivety in the palm of her hand.

Unbeknown to Alyssa, she has been turned into a tool to torture Kanda. With him being forced to watch over the girl, Liliana became very invested into ensuring Alyssa is dressed in the skimpiest outfits, as well as manipulating her into driving Kanda (and everyone else, really) into the most uncomfortable and embarrassing situations. Despite her actions being mostly malicious and Alyssa becoming an oblivious partner in crime, the two had grown to share a very deep bond, based on more than simple attempts of winding everyone up.

T r i v i a ;
- Alyssa is work in progress - her memory is not permanently lost, but the Order has not yet figured out a way recover it;
- The reason it's known Alyssa stands a chance of regaining her old self is occasional flashbacks regarding events of the past she gets;
- She remains known as Mao within the Order for about a week until her real name is retrieved. While some switch to calling her Alyssa right away, many, including herself, keep referring to her by the nickname;
- The sequence of pregnancy complications and surgical actions left Alyssa infertile. It only becomes known at the Order;
- Despite the mind of a child, she is usually dressed very, very adult. More often than not it's the courtesy of Liliana;
- The primary idea regarding Alyssa's mentoring was putting her under Teegan's care due to her soothing and parental nature. Although Alyssa has grown fond of the General, she couldn't take separation from Kanda;
- Her third favourite person in the world (after Liliana and Kanda) is Marie. Not only she is fascinated by the music he plays, but the man is known to occasionally give her candies as a treat.
- She is strictly kept away from combat and is being trained internally to have her true capacities exposed. At the moment her abilities strongly surpass her mental readiness and there is an assumption Alyssa would be very powerful if not for her trauma.
