Special Traits
Many traits have their own requirements. You need to do art/literature or you can simply purchase the trait using PayPal, Points or Seashells.
Comment in the Import Edits journal to apply special traits to your Isomara.
How to Get Special Traits
When aiming to earn a special trait you can decide whether you want to earn it through Artwork, Literature, Currency, or through other special means if available.ART
Most special traits will require you to draw at least 3 things. Some require you to draw other Isomara as well. You may submit multiple drawings in one deviation as an art dump.To upgrade an Isomara to have a trait make sure the requirements are complete then comment in the Import Edits journal linking the Isomara and deviations.
Here is the kind of art that is acceptable:
• Full body drawings/paintings (digital or traditional) - Must be colored
• Animations - No special traits should require animation but any normal drawing may be made as one as a bonus to receive more seashells.
• Sculptures/figures/plushies - Again there will not be any required for these, but you can always go all out and make them.
What won't count:
• Sketches & Uncolored - Black and white drawings do not count.
• Multiple Headshots/busts - Some will allow you to draw one, but no you cannot draw 5 headshots for a trait.
• Bases - You may not use a base from someone else or use one you made. Coloring something that has been used before will not count.
• Pixel art smaller than 100 x 100 pixels
NOTE: You may submit literature and artwork that depicts more than a single Isomara working towards a special trait. This only counts for multiple Isomara earning a trait. You may not double-dip on the art/literature to earn multiple traits for a single Isomara.
LITERATURE
You can also write instead of draw for the traits. When writing for the trait you will have a minimum word limit that you have to reach. There may be a requirement for your story to involve aspects similar to how the artists have to incorporate certain things. As long as you can describe your Isomara, the setting, and make sure you can involve those aspects in someway creatively you can easily earn special traits by writing.CURRENCY
Don't have time to draw/write? Then you have other ways to get these traits. Each trait listed below says how much they are worth. Purchasing special traits through currency means you do not need to meet the art/literature requirement. To purchase a special trait comment in the Import Edits journal with the Isomara you want to buy it for and which method of payment you choose (PayPal, Points, or Seashells).EVENTS & ITEMS
Events are an easy way to get the traits you want, but there could be limits to the amounts of winners, and also the trait you want might not always be the prize. The different events may include, Draw to Adopts (DTA), giveaways, and other prompt like events. All the special traits listed below even the ones normally only able to be received at birth are possible to be gotten through the use of Mystery Candy, Ultra Mystery Candy, and the Wish in a Bottle. It is a small chance to receive a special trait upon consumption via Mystery Candy, but it is entirely possible!

Special Trait F.A.Q.
Q. Will there be more special traits revealed?
A. Yes, some special traits can only be discovered through breeding or random events.
Q. Is there a way to exile my Isomara to get the Dyed White trait?
A. Perhaps, we do want to implement a way, but for now, it's unknown.
Q. Can I draw multiple Isomara in the same picture to have it count for both?
A. No, sadly you cannot double dip when it comes to special traits. Each Isomara will have to have their own separate drawings/ literature.
