Mimic Encounter

A sneaky thief thinks he has found a chest of valuables.  Unfortunately for him, as he opens it and reaches in to claim its contents, the lid sprouts teeth and snaps closed, biting off his right hand; blood pumps from the stump.  He cries out and tries to get away, but finds his left hand is stuck and creeping growths have engulfed it, holding him.  The mimic quickly consumes him.
