I tried to Google it after I commented. I think it never made it beyond the planning stage.

I LIKE Blue Sky Studios. The only animated movie of theirs I really didn't like is Ice Age: The Meltdown (I haven't seen Robots or Epic, though).

I already know the characters. There's Manny, Horton, Rodney, Blu, a Leafman, Snoopy and Bunny. I found out about Bunny from Wikipedia and I don't know about the unicorn.

Funny I was thinking about drawing something like this as a gift for Stefan, but you did it way better than in this title card than I could have. Great job :)

Wonderful title card! Great representation of the studio's work and you draw the characters really well. I don't know if you've drawn Snoopy before or not (didn't find any drawings of him in your gallery), but he's perfectly drawn. And if it's your first time drawing Snoopy, that's even more impressive.

Yeah! Defend BlueSky! I've always been impressed that their two main story lines were really successful, especially Ice Age (the sequels get old, though).

Anyway you drew the characters so well - I instantly recognized everybody before I read the text, hehe. Great idea putting Manny and Horton on either side like that for balance. ^^

I love Blue Sky Studios, the first Ice Age was my favorite movie for a long while when I was younger. Their animation is beautiful, and Iv'e enjoyed most of their films, but I have to agree with :iconjimenopolix: a bit, I personally think Ice Age and Rio just need to stop with the sequels... The sequels for Ice Age especially are just getting worse, like, no, stop, no more, I don't care about teenage mammoths and singing pirates, goodbye...

Is this in response to the Nostalgia Critic being mean to Blue Sky Studios?

I don't really recall Nostalgia Critic 'being mean' to Blue Sky Studios. And do you mean Nostalgia Critic or Doug? Yes, they're the same person, but NC is a character that Doug plays as. In one of his videos, he says that NC's viewpoint is based somewhat on the overall popular view of something, not one hundred percent his own view. I am pretty sure he brings this up in his commentary for his review of Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog. In the review, he acts like he hates it, but in reality, Doug does think the show is genuinely funny, and doesn't even really hate it that much.

I meant the NC, not Doug personally. In his review of Face Off, there was this joke he made with doves. He then had one of the doves mention, "that film that nobody remembers, but for some reason, they're making a sequel to," which was a reference to Rio. In his Food Fight! review, he mentioned Blue Sky Studios during the scene where the food products were fighting. He mentioned that they must have gotten Blue Sky to do the effects for this one scene, and then joked saying that they actually did, "and then they asked if they could turn it into a horrible franchise......... don't be shocked if you see this coming to a theater near you," and he showed a visual poster joke, combining Ice Age, Rio, and Food Fight! together. And then at the end of his review of The Swan Princess, he had these soda bottle jokes of "Diet Pixar", "Diet Dreamworks", and "Seuss Zero". In the "Diet Dreamworks" he had the posters for Ice Age and Rio sequels, plus The Nut Job. He then said, comfortably, "God, that's twice I've been mean to Blue Sky Studios. I should stop if they ever made something good." And then the "Seuss Zero" is what built up the then-upcoming Lorax review.
--
Speaking of which, after he reviewed The Lorax, he posted on Facebook what he thought of Horton Hears A Who! from Blue Sky Studios. He said he didn't like it, but he didn't hate it either. He thinks that this is the closest to being a good adaptation from the Dr. Seuss books, even though it has a lot of unnecessary pop-cultural references. He did say that it's not bad enough to make a Nostalgia Critic review on. So in a way, he could find it tolerable. I do wonder what he thinks of Robots. My guess is that he probably didn't like Epic either, seeing how it must be like a Ferngully 3. I've never seen it, so I don't know what to make of it. And I also wonder if he has heard of the upcoming Peanuts movie; he MUST be excited for it seeing how they got the style down and gave it a unique animation style. All that's left is for them to be truthful to the classic Peanuts videos and not do anything that bad movies do nowadays.
--
Yes, I am aware of his NC review of The Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog as well as his commentary of his honest opinions. I am also aware that the NC was getting tired of Frozen's "Let It Go!" song while Doug himself actually likes it, saying, "Let the storm rage on!"

I'm just really waiting to see what he thinks of Looney Tunes: Back In Action.

I know. I don't hate Blue Sky Studios, but I do think the Ice Age and Rio films may be getting a bit old. I wasn't too interested in seeing Epic either. The only films I happen to like are Robots and Horton Hears A Who!, and some of the first Rio. I can't wait for the Peanuts movie, though. It looks like it may be good.

Yeah. I liked Robots and Horton Hears a Who! In fact, those are the ONLY TWO Blue Sky movies I happen to own. I haven't seen Epic, but I don't think I'd be interested in it, 'cause I can kinda predict what's gonna happen. The visuals don't look that appealing to me. It almost looks like a Ferngully 3 to me. I've seen the first two Ice Age movies, the majority of the third one, and very little from the 4th one. As you can imagine, my interest started dying down after seeing 3. My personal favorite would be 2. 1 was okay, but not that strong to me. 2 is the only one I have seen in the movie theaters. And, yeah, I hear there's a fifth one coming, and, well, how many people do you think would go back to the movies to watch it?
Rio was good enough for me. I've seen it twice. The story is a bit cliched, though, with the couples not getting along, then they do, but then they break up, then they go searching for each other again, etc. Yeah, seen it before. The visuals and animation is what impressed me, as well as the fact that it was a MUSICAL, which is neat. Pixar was gonna do a similar story, but Blue Sky Studios beat them to it, so Pixar cancelled it. I haven't seen Rio 2 yet, but from what I hear, it's not as good as the first film, especially seeing how we have the same characters from the first film, plus ones that are just gonna cause trouble anyway.

I can't wait for the Peanuts movie, though! The visuals and animation seem impressive! I just hope they don't mess it up.

In defense of Blue Sky Studios huh? I wonder what is it that people need to defend it about?

Back to the pic, this really came out pretty nice here, I could almost see that your getting back into the groove when it comes to drawing Horton again  as well as the other chars, they all came out very nicely done here.

Like I said from before KJ, I think you got great artistic talent here
