After the injury TS Hand Grenade took quite a lot of time off to heal and retrain for this moment, he was finally back to racing and Stacy hoped he'd do well in these coming back races, she loved Grenade and knew he loved to run and race, he was only 4 years old, she couldn't put him out to pasture now, not while the flames still burned deep within his soul. He was restless in his stall and had started cribbing, out in the pasture all he did was run, it was as if he was telling her, "It's time, I'm ready." Stacy would sigh as she watched the heartbroken stallion as others went to the track. Soon she decided to start training him and now, now was his moment to shine and show everyone that he still had it in him, that no injury could smolder the flames and nothing could break his spirit.
Stacy let out a shaky breath as she and Grenade waited in the gates, she glanced at her other competetors and took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she repositioned herself. Grenade snorted, his breath visible in the cool morning air. He let out a loud whinny and bobbed his head, doing a little rear, anxious to get out on the track. Soon enough the bell rang, the gates open and Grenade whipped out from the gates, charging forward. Damn right, he still had it in him and he was going to show everyone else just what he was made of, no injury was going to hold him back and that's what Stacy feared the most, she feared that he would injury himself again, but Grenade just seemed so damn confident that he could win and rise up to the top where he once was. He galloped down the snowy track, kicking clods of snow and dirt into the air as he ran, he huffed and strained to go faster though Stacy held him back until the last turn. Once they had gone past that turn, she let him have the reins and with this advantage he surged forward, lengthening his strides and stretching out his neck as they neared the finish line.
