Japan: Kin

What??? A non-cosplay related picture?! Well, yes, it's true! I've been living in Japan for the past 10 months, primarily for work purposes. However, I have loved traveling and going to some of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Kyoto was one of them when I went to visit the wonderful . I took my giant camera with me, something I don't always do (but I should), because I was determined to capture the beauty of this historic and beautiful place. Only now am I finally working on getting some of them uploaded (my apologies for the delay).

I decided to start with perhaps one of Kyoto's most famous places, "Kinkaku-Ji", also known as "The Golden Temple" or "The Golden Pavilion". And boy was this thing covered in gold, to the point where you honestly wondered if you were staring at a real historic place. I really liked this shot because you could see Kinkaku-Ji in all of it's splender and as well as so clearly in the water. It was such a still place, like it was frozen in time and the calm of the water is just one of the ways you could see that while there. 

In Japanese, 金 or "Kin" means "Gold", thus the title of this photo.
