The Sins of our Creator tutorial boss SAM

So as u all already know about my new game idea, a souls game "The Sins of our Creator" 
I did a WIP cover art for the game The Sins of our Creator (wip) cover art by skylertoons on DeviantArt 
and I did a drawing of all the playable classes for the players to choose The Sins of our Creator Classes by skylertoons on DeviantArt 

So I thought it was time that I finally do a drawing of one of the many bosses that will be in my souls game. 
So in this, I will explaining this as if it was like a gameplay walkthrough for u all to understand and enjoy. So sit back relax and enjoy reading.





Once u begin a new game, you will first watch a intro cutscene that just explain abit of lore about the world that the player/you will be exploring. Once the cutscene ends, the player is then send to the class select screen where you can choose one of the 9 playable classes. Once you pick a class, you pick a gender from either male or female, and then lastly customize your character to your liking. Once you finished customizing your character, your ready to play.

the cutscene begins in the darkness within "The sea of ink", all you can hear is nothing but the soft and gentle waves of the ink, but soon enough something begins to walk out of the ink, and this something... is you covered within the ink. Soon a bright light from a far.
As your character begins to walk towards the light, the ink that once covers you, begins to fade away from you to reveal yourself. 
as you get closer and closer to the light, the brighter it gets 
???: *calm soft voice*welcome, fellow Toon... to your first step... out of the darkness... and into the light.
(End of cutscene)



Once the cutscene is over, you arrived within "The worlds beginning" 
before the whole world fell into ruins, the creator would create every toon with love, care, and effort. Every toon was created into something special every time... but when the creator left behind the world that he made, toons began to be made... somewhere else. That somewhere else was "The sea of ink" that appeared after the creator left. some toons managed to come out from the ink and emerge as someone new... and some... ended up being nothing, but "Forgotten Toons"
"The worlds beginning" is a colorless place where toons go, if they come out from "The Sea of Ink" its where they start out, and begin to know how life works.
However now, the place is full of ruins, forgotten toons roaming around, ready to kill anyone they see, and the corpse of the many toons who had never made it far.


This is where you as the player will learn the games controls, mechanics, and so forth (in other words, its a tutorial area)
You will learn light and heavy attacks, stamina usesage, useable items, and so forth.
you will have plenty of enemies to practice your combat, but that doesn't mean that these enemies wont fight back, so remember that.
When you kill an enemy, you will get a number of INK that you can use to level up stats on your character.





As you explore more and more of The World's Beginning, the more corpse you will eventually find. and these corpses are leading a trail of death, but also was leading to a way to leave this place and go beyond.
You follow the trail of corpses long enough until you find a large overgrown arch that seemed to have a portal that will allow you to leave this colorless place. however that's not the only thing that you see, because the other thing that you see is someone just sitting in front of the arch... just staring at it, almost as if they were waiting for something. This person who was sitting in front of the arch, was a toon like you in colors. He had green hair with abit of red, a blue shirt, brown pants, and black shoes.
He doesn't seem to pay any attention to you, and so you just decide to walk to the arch. 
Until...


The mysterious sitting toon (SAM): *just sitting and staring at the arch, minding his own business, until he hears the sound of footsteps coming close. He then gets up to see you* Hold it right there. *you stop* Well... what do we have here? Your another one of HIS creations huh? 
Well, your not the first... and you wont be the last. I understand that your new to all of this. Its scary for you, I understand that, I really do, and I am sorry... but I cant let you go through. 

Once SAM finished speaking, he then runs at you and is about to attack you. But since you've learn how to do the controls so you managed to parry SAM's attack and so you then stab SAM in the chest with your weapon, and he's as good as dead.
Once SAM is down for the count, you just walk around his now dead body, and attempt to walk through the arch... but some unknown reason, something wont let you pass it. but then another cutscene begins





(boss cutscene)
as you continue to try to get pass the arch, you stop as you hear groans from behind you. the camera then turns from you to the dead body of SAM, as he struggles to get himself back on his feet. Once SAM gets back on his feet, he turns to you and you can see the black inky like wound that you gave him from stabbing him in the chest, and now SAM is NOT in a good mood anymore.

SAM: *breaths in and out but he is furious now at you* It would seem that you, like everyone else just cant listen to me. Now... *fuses his arm into a super sharp blade* you forced me to take care of you the painful way.  Don't say I didn't warn you. 
(end of cutscene)



[Stage 1]
The real boss fight has begin, and now SAM is not gonna be holding back his punches on you. so lets run down his attacks abit.
SAM is a shapeshifter so he can change his limbs or himself into anything, so SAM can perform many different kinds of slashing attacks, can do a plunge attack, and with sometimes do a jump in the air and slash his blade arm down on you.
However, that's not the only attacks that SAM will make. SAM will also perform punches from a super large arm, or he will charge at you and kick you up into the air and then once you fall onto the ground, he will try to stomp on you.

However, with all these attacks, dosnt mean that he is unstoppable. once he performs enough attacks, he will stop and take a breather, this will give you some time to get some free hits out of SAM, if your quick enough to avoid all his attacks.
just keep avoiding his attacks, hit him when theres an opening, repeat until he gets to half health.
Once SAM gets to half health, the boss then goes to Stage 2 as SAM is so frustrated that he cant think on what to transform into and so transform into a mashup and multiple things.



[Stage 2]
Now that SAM is alot bigger then you, that means he will hit even harder but that also means that some of his attacks are alot slower which will be good to your advantage.
He has at least maybe 4 or 5 attacks
SAM will use his giant black tentacle arm, and swing it wildly at you, and dose some kind of uppercut like attack.
with his other arm, dose the standard punch attacks, and if your far away from SAM he will form horns on his head and then charge at you like a bull, but sometimes he can trick you with this and instead of just charging at you, he will also try to deliver a punch as well.

of course like I said before, his attacks may hit hard but he dose move slowly so you can possibly dodge out of the way in the right time and get a few hits out of him.
So anyway avoid his dangerous but slow attacks, and then attack him when you have an opening until you finally kill him.

SAM: GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!! *about to die but delivers final words* This isnt the end, you bastard... this isnt... the end... *dies*





Once you beat SAM, you will get a total of 12000 ink to level up with, a special reward from SAM, and you will now be able to walk pass the arch and send you into the rest of the world that awaits you.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo yeah, trying to come up with all this stuff took pretty much all day today even after I got home from work. So I do hope I mad a good impression for all of u to be abit more interested in my souls game idea.
with SAM, I wanted players to think that he's just a joke that you can kill eaisly without even trying, but then flip that on their heads when the boss fight dose begin and SAM is not messing around this time.

apart from that, the drawing was also pretty tricky for me to do, more specifically the Stage 2 version of SAM, because I wasn't sure on how I wanted him to look like. so I just went with random body parts while also giving him sharp teeth and full on pitch black eyes. and the thing thats on his chest, thats the stab wound that you gave him when he tried to attack you, and thats his ink leaking out of him.

The drawing and the writing was a lil bit rocky but overall I think I did a good job as always, and if u want to see more from my game, let me know in your comments below. Until then, I hope u all have a great day and go play a video game or whatever ^^
