Past comes back part 2

   Its been nearly 2 ½ months since Skyler was captured by the silent amazon Rya. Over time he had discovered that his guardian powers were gone and his wings were unable to work due to Rya blowing some strange dust in his face that cancels out all things magic. Rya has been using him as bait when hunting for food since she thought since The Sea-Jaw was chasing him then maybe she could use him as bait for other animals.

   At first it didn't work out so well until Skyler convinced her to untie him and he’ll be able to help her get bigger animals to hunt, she reluctantly agreed on that, but she still didn't trust him.

Skyler also learned to keep his distance from Rya, not to be in her space even if he was a bit concern for her as he has noticed a few times of her having nightmares but still. 

Time passed for a month or so, as Skyler slowly began to earn Rya’s trust so much that she allowed him to be in her cave, but only to cook, not sleep in there… That is until one day.

The 2 had just returned back to Rya’s cave with some meat, water, and a few rare ingredients, and 3 old hollowed out turtle shell that Skyler planned to use one of them as a pot like as he was planning to make soup for the 2 to enjoy.

Rya: *sets down the meat as she crouches down to start a fire*

Skyler: *rubbing his hands in glee as he sits down by the fire while setting up the soup* This is gonna be so good. I mean don't get me wrong, I do like eating meat just as much as the next person but this soup will be great ^^ 

Rya: hmm *finishes setting up the fire and places the turtle shell over the fire while Skyler added in the water*

Skyler: *pulls out the meat and ingredients that Rya helped him find* Ok then, let's see. *he added in chopped up pieces of beef into the bowl of water, then added the other ingredients until the water turned into a delectable gold brown (which is a good thing, basically I'm making beef ramen noodle soup minus the noodles lol) both he and Rya took a whiff of the smell which brought them to a feel of delight* That smells pretty good huh?

Rya: mmmhmm 

Skyler: well wait till you taste it ^^ 

They both waited for 5 mins while Skyler mixed up the ingredients with the beef and water until they knew that the soup was ready. Skyler then poured the soup into 2 shell bowls, one for Rya and one for himself. 

The soup made their taste buds soar to the heavens. Everything was perfect and everything was at peace… until…

Skyler: *enjoying the soup* This is great ^^ just great. Oh! I also found this flower thing while we were out *pulls out a flower that made Rya’s eyes widen* yeah I thought maybe we could add it to the soup or somethi- *Rya takes the flower out of his eyes which confused him* oooooookay then, if you wanted the flower so much, you could have just said so.

Rya as always didn't say anything since she had her eyes only on the flower now in her hands as she just faced the cave walls still looking at the flower for almost like 10 minutes.

Skyler: *confused* uuuuhh you ok there? *Rya was just paying to the flower* your soup is getting a bit cold. *she once again said nothing* Hello? *puts down his soup and walked over to Rya’s side but then sees her with tears in her eyes while still looking down at the flower* O-O hey, you ok? *trying to comfort her but she just lightly pushed him away* Do you wanna talk about it? Does it have something to do with that flower?

Rya: *tears in eyes and nods*

Rya felt pain in her heart. Skyler tried to comfort her but she would just push him away until he just asked her as to why that flower made her so sad. She once again didn't speak but simply took a big swallow and took a few deep breaths, then grabbed a small bowl full of what looked like chalk dust, dipped her fingers into it and began painting on the cave walls, slowly and justly. She painted things that looked like women and write something under one of them that reads “Rya”

Skyler: “Rya”  Is that… your name? *she nods yes* ok then Rya, who are the others here? *Rya painted a circle around all of them* is… is that like… your family? *Rya nods yes once again*

Rya then painted one bigger woman that she wrote “Gyla”

Gyla was Rya’s mother. She was the leader of her village, she was a kind hearted woman, a fierce warrior, and a protector to her many sisters and children.

She was so strong that she could even move the mountains with a single push, she could tame the wildest of animals big or small, and she could even warm up the coldest of souls. (Rya does not say this stuff, she paints it on the walls)

Skyler: Your mother sounds like a good woman. 

Rya: *nods with a bit of a small smile on her face while she paints in a sun with a dot in it and the flower that Skyler found*

Rya then explained that the flower that Skyler found was known as a “Golden Sun Flower '' which was one of Gyla’s favorite flowers and some would say that they were made by The Great Goddess who watched over all of her many children from the sun.

Skyler: So, that's why you're all teared up? The flower reminds you of your mother?

Rya: hmm *nods yes*

Skyler: oh… sooo… what happened to her? How come you're not with your family anymore?

Rya: … *says nothing and turns her head to Skyler with an unhappy face as she started to paint again*

Rya then painted in a few images that looked like people, painted an odd symbol and then pointed at Skyler. What she was saying was “men” happened. 

3 years ago, on a usual patrol outside of the village, Rya and Gyla were captured by this group of men, and taken away. These men were hunters who would take amazons to their base as their slaves, for sex, for food, or would make them fight to the death just for their own amussment.

Rya and Gyla were imprisoned there for afew weeks, being forced to fight, but one day… Gyla couldn't take another life anymore, and so she refused to fight… They killed her.

Gyla died in Rya’s arms… then she ran off… never to be seen, because she feared that she could never go back.

Ever since then, she had taken a vow of silence to never speak, which is why she never says a word, and stayed far away so could never be found.

Skyler: *stunned and feels sorry* so… that's why you didn't like me before. Because men killed your mother. 

Rya: *nods yes as she then as she took one swipe over the painting of her mother knowing that… she’ll never come back as she looks down at her hand now covered in the chalk dust that now looked like blood. At that point Rya can’t control herself anymore as she let the tears run down her cheek finally and cries*

Skyler: *seeing her cry, now knowing this means alot to her and so tries to comfort her* Look… I’m… I'm really sorry about your loss. I can imagine that life has been hard. I know how you feel. I... I lost some people important to me too. *takes the bowl full of chalk dust and then painted in himself, and a few other people and made a circle around them* This is my family.

Rya: *looks at the painting that Skyler made of his family*

Skyler: *points at 3 of them women that he painted together* These are my sisters. Then there's my mother, my father *points at the man and woman* and… these are some other people that mean alot to me. *lets Rya watches as he them swiped over his whole family leaving only him and one person showing her that he knows the pain that she feels*

Rya then began to realize that they were both alone. Lost many people that they cared about.
They both simply stared at each other for what felt like an hour. Neither of them said a word, as the only thing that could be heard was the crackle from the fire.

Skyler thought that it was getting late, and so started to walk out of the cave to sleep, but just when he took one step outside of the cave, he was stopped by Rya gripping his wrist, (not hard) and pulled him back in as she didn't want to be alone again.

At that moment, things between Skyler and Rya changed in a good way.

So thats the end of part 2 for all of you. 
Just telling a lil bit that things didn't go so well at first between me and Rya, but soon begin to understand each other clearly and gain a bond with each other.
I also wanted to through in some info about Rya's Mother Gyla to have a bit detail to her to make you all want to know her more, along with telling little about how Gyla died but you all will find out eventually when I continue this story, but until then I hope u all enjoyed this one.
I also wanted to through in some details to show that there's more to this then any of you know. But I'm not gonna tell you since, where's the fun in telling you all right away? lol

For the drawing, I simply just drew in the part where me and Rya begins to understand each other while also adding in the cave panting/drawings that we did to explain each other. However there are some parts that left out in the drawing since either I wasn't sure how to draw them or I just didn't had enough space for it.
But I might one day, rework on this drawing later on in the future but I cant make any promises on that lol
